Yesterday zumbagirl has become a PR!!!!!!!!

the landing interview was like 5 minute. We arrived we have been called to a window, IDs checked, sponsor was asked whether he want to proceed with the sponsorship, standard questions about criminal offenses and refused entries to Canada and voila : big smile and congratulations from the clerk and you are a PR now.

We brought docs on cohabitation. They did not ask for it.

The whole process was actually pleasant which was kind of surprise.

it took us 14 months and a bit to get to this point. We have another 4-6 weeks of waiting for the PR Card then we are really done!

it has been a pleasure sharing our journey with all of you.

Congrats Zumbagirl, My wife landed today afternoon and waited
for 15 minutes, the questions were very easy, - asked the sponsor do you know that you have to
financially support your spouse for 3 years whether separate or divorce, do you want to
proceed ? , Asked the PA - 3 questions- dependent, criminal, denied entry etc ,
No No No , then finished, said congrats and asked if we have any question. only took
5-10 minutes . but Service canada waited for 1 1/2 hour for the SIN #.
It's a long journey and painfully process, we are glad that it reached to the end with
happy ending.
thanks a lot for the people who helped us in this forum especially Profile is very knowledgeable
and provided a lot of expertise. Best wishes with all of you.

Congrats JG, can you please share the details of the questions asked for our benefit?

Thanks a lot
Sam

She did...
It's simple. It's not a test. You're not supposed to fail it. Just like "How do you spell... S-A-M"...

Criminal offense?
Refused entry to Canada?
Any kids you conveniently forgot for the last 2 years?

Etc. They're only to validate the app info is correct...

Thanks Profiler :)

.. I have a kid some days I'd like to forget. ..

Anyway, yeah dead simple stuff. No surprises. Not a relationship test. They want to give you a COPR..

@voodoogirl: apparently the brine factor has been reduced.

I now support your petition to change Salty Tuesdays to Sugary Tuesdays.

From today, I will refer to tuesdays in the sweet-tense...

If you believe in spirituality, or in voodoo (probably more voodoo; that is the theme lately... and sugar too), here is a story...

For the week leading up to my SA, I had this feeling like someone was watching me. It was pretty obvious that no one was, so I didn't think anything of it. Two days before, my ears started ringing. At times, it was soo loud, that I had to ask my wife to repeat herself. Same type of scenario for AIP. We didn't even think we'd see anything more from CIC until the meds were done. Weird feeling, so I checked email while we were out for dinner with my son on my birthday. Bam, there is an AIP within seconds of them sending it.

True story (look when I reported AIP; it was sent at 18.05.58). So, maybe you notice something similar? :).

Seems most of the applicants March 2016 has gotten SA and AIP
So its on to those of April2016
