Hi there, I wonder if someone can help me. I applied in December 2015 through the inland spousal sponsorship category. I hired an immigration lawyer who is dealing on my behalf. All seems well, OWP received after 4 months and about two months ago I received an email stating:

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

I've been trying to link my application through MYCIC but each time I try I get the following:

Link an existing application to this account
Disassociate Representative
Based on the information you entered, we found: 1 application
We see that you have a representative tied to this application. Your representative has access to your application.
If you no longer want to use a representative and access the application yourself, you can cancel your representative by filling out the Use of a representative form [IMM5476] (PDF, 647.96 kb) and choose "cancelling the appointment of a representative."
After completing the form, you can upload it here:

Does anyone know whether my lawyer has a separate way to log in through MYCIC to see the more detailed updates I would be able to access myself if I didn't have a lawyer dealing on my behalf?

Thanks for checking!

marsellus1, yes, same to me if you have a representative and you can not link, the representative(Lawyer or Immigration consultant) can
use the "IRCC Portal for authorized paid representatives", they can link a lot of clients applications process information to their portal and see much more details. You should make an appointment with your rep and he/she should show you what you got.

@Profiler, I know you are an expert, Do you think that my wife's OWP will come soon after she got her AIP,
We have submitted both the sponsorship app and the OWP app at the same time. (she was out of status when we submitted the applications).
How soon that you predict the OWP will come ? or does she have to re-apply again ? any idea or you know.

;D Please advise with your super Profiler crystal ball... ;D

Noo not an expert. Just a guy who gets OCD like Sheldon Cooper.

If she was out of status, then they will issue the OWP soon after AIP. You won't need to resubmit. When you submitted, did you apply to restore status (<90 days out of status)?

Yes,she has applied for restore status too even though the work permit was expired greater than 90 days,
thanks Profiler :)

Np. Because she was >90 days out of status, she will be processed under the "Public Policy". That permits those who are only out of status to still be processed. Once she gets to AIP, she will be assessed for the OWP.

That said, many see SA, AIP, and DM in rapid succession -- so she may not get the OWP until after she lands (when she won't need it anymore).

Hi all,

CIC requested my Schedule A and police clearances. However since there was an issue with the myCIC account I do not have the actual letter, I only noticed it on my ECAS notes yesterday.

Can I scan my police certificates and send, or do I have to mail them in? Also I have lived in the US and have my FBI clearance from there plus the state clearance. Do I need to provide a Canadian police clearance?

I hope they fix this issue soon as I do not want to miss any deadlines.

Thanks.

Medical has been requested..
March 2, 2016 applicant.

Is it common for these medical offices to request CASH only payments?

That's what I am talking about!

So, the wife's medical was done at an office that requested cash. It does make sense, since they don't want to "bill" you.

Yes scan it to upload.

If the instructions do not tell you exactly what to do. I would upload the PCC via IRCC web form (CSE) and call in 10 days to see if they call center sees it there.

When I had to redo my IMM5669 and IMM5406 I also uploaded via IRCC web form (CSE).

Yes we paid cash too. Think it cost either CAD$220 or CAD$215.
