hi all
ive sponsored my wife in Quebec,and want to clear something, when you rec the csq , does it mean that that the sponsor has been approved or we still have to wait for SA.
our time line is as follow
submitted application 24 April 2016
application received 2 June 2016
federal asked for csq 3 august 2016
csq received 1 November 2016
I sent the police report in December 12 without them asking for it

I called the other day they said that I should wait for medicals in march, does that I mean I as a sponsor have been accepted or not yet?
from your experience when do u think we will finish the process?

by the way we didn't apply for open work permit and on the cic It only shows application received on June 2 2016; that it

CSQ is permission from QC to permanently settle in the province. It is not the same as SA. SA comes from CIC.

Your application was filed in April 2016. They are presently working on December 2015 (but January 2016 is starting to see document requests), So it shouldn't be long now. From what I have been tracking, most are not getting SA or AIP. Cases seem to be cleared within a week of an Officer actually picking the file up (unless it's incomplete, that is).

I did in August... They sent it just before new years. They are now being subjected to federal Privacy Commission investigation as a result. Here is how you file a complaint: https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/file-a-formal-privacy-complaint/ .

Depending on what day in October they received it, it's late and you can call the call centre to ask where it is. So, I would give them a shout Monday (888-242-2100) and ask them where your OWP is.
