My OWP application got approved on myCIC, FINALLY! Thanks everyone!

Quick questions:
1. How long does it usually take to get actual paper in my mailbox after this approval?
2. When can I start working? Should I wait until I get the paper?

Mid-December is starting to get news of first stage approvals. I'm sure you'll hear some news soon.

Anyone who sent their application around mid-December 2015 received their Permanent Card? Or any news?
Got the open work permit 4 months after.
For mexicans sent the police record and fingerprints somewhere in June.
Since then no news...

hubby is December 14,2015 for inland sponsoringship he has immgration laywer we sent pcc in July and I last talk to the on Dec 30,2016 everything is going fine

Inland of course. Go check your eCAS Carol. See if the sponsor side says Decision Made.

Congrats 10K!!!

Before you can start working you have to apply for SIN at Service Canada. Takes a week to 10 days to get OWP in mail.

You'll be landing much much quicker than the 2015 apps...they are really speeding up.

I used to have one when I was on Working Holiday visa but of course it's expired already. I just need to go in Service Canada and ask for restoring or having new number, correct?

You'll be landing much much quicker than the 2015 apps...they are really speeding up.

Thank you, simpsol22 for your encouragement. My friends using the express entry are getting PR's in 3-4 months. I am thinking if by the end of this year, I don't see much progress, then I will consider the express entry option and the withdraw the sponsorship. I will qualify for it by then. I just need 1 year experience and I will get it by October.

@Simpol it's good that my husband has an immigration lawyer. I found out online and through cic agent last June that they requested pcc for hubby. we gave it to lawyer and seen her July 19,2016 and she was like everything going good even her partner congratulated us how good it's going so I would ask she be like takes time so I call cic from time to time nor brother her.
