Yes I am glad we have an immigration laywer because I be stressed.but I talk to agents on dec 30 2016 and the lawyer they all sat looks good sito tight

I have not called in a while. At least your lawyer is keeping track of the application.

Hello all-

I keep checking every so often to see if anyone has had any news from CIC about their sponsorship approval - I submitted my husbands inland app in November 23 2016 and got an AOR fairly shortly thereafter that it was received and when I checked our Ecas it showed it was in process.

We submitted his OWP at the same time and while I know it'll be four months at least (the beginning or end of March) I thought we would've heard whether or not I was approved as his sponsor or not by now- just anxious I guess esp as hubbys getting serious cabin fever not being able to work.

I've told him to enjoy the time off as he's always worked 14 hour days 6 days a week at that as we both worked in the Hotel Industry before moving - but he says he needs to keep busy..and I get it sigh....but a cranky Jamaican man is not a pretty sight esp with a cranky Jamaican wife - well I get that way when he gets cranky - lol

Guess its hard for him when he takes me to work and then has to head home.... Come on CIC - esp as your MYCIC link doesn't work so I cant even try to see progress on his OWP....sigh

For inland applications, sponsor approval takes time. Only for outland does the sponsor hear within 1-2 months. They've been working on giving sponsor approvals to 2015 applicants right now. It will be quite some time before you hear more...will get your OWP and maybe a second AOR. And then just have to wait.

Thank you for your response - at least it gives me some inkling of what to expect because I have been trolling the Jamaican cases site and they did get feedback quickly - but those are all outland apps - most appreciated!!

Stick to this thread and the 2015 thread...to see where they are at. You can also watch the spreadsheet linked below. (Join it if not already on it). Just note that they started mixing up the order a bit so some 2016 did get processed already....but that's out of the normal order.

But yes, outland threads will confuse you. The reason the sponsor is approved quickly with those, is due to the file being sent off overseas for completion. Only the sponsor app is done in Mississauga.

Yes.that is correct. Make sure it's two separate receipts.
