I'm now wondering if the technical glitches extends to AORs, where they would have sent the email, but we never received it. >:( >:( >:( :'(, Not sure if the call center would help without the UCI #

How can you not have a UCI?

UCI - Unique Client Identifier.

Are you not in Canada? Did you require an eTA / Visa to enter? If so, it's on there too.

Our AOR was more than 2 months. I don't think I would worry TBH.

... This is perhaps the only good reason to request GCMS notes ...

I am glad I ordered ours. Now I am hauling IRCC's ATIP coordinator in front of the Privacy Commissioner over them :). We can let the report that gets filed with Parliament speak for itself :).

Where can I order ours? Right on their website? I just want to make sure.

Thanks, Bea

You can have your spouse fill out the consent (Section A is your spouse, Section C is you, sign and date) and submit that with your request for Officer's Notes (GCMS). Or, others here have just done two separate requests pretending to be the spouse. If you do the consent form, you can get one set of notes that has the details of both people.

Make sure you pass the request as a Privacy Act request. It's free this way.

Also, within the first month or 3, there won't be anything interesting in them typically.

Thank you so very much! Yep, I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I will pursue this and relax.

You're less than a month in (or so). There will literally be no notes yet.

I have another question....

In the document checklist for the OWP it says - If I am a participant in the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program... which I am until April 2017, I have to provide proof of health insurance covering the intended extension to my length of stay in Canada.
Can someone please shed some light on what exactly this means...

Do I get health insurance for a year... which will cover me now and when I get OWP till I receive my PR?
Or Can I get Health insurance from April 2017 when my IEC expires until I get my PR?

background info... will be applying for Sponsorship PR this month.

This is new, we didn't have to show this at our time of application. Health insurance in Canada is one of the criteria for the IEC program, so I'm assuming they are asking for proof of that.

Hi :)
I did get the Health insurance for my 2nd IEC permit back in April 2015 however it has now expired... So I would assume what its saying is that I need to show I have health insurance for my extended stay after my IEC expires on my new OWP? That's how I look at it. Cause once my IEC expires which it will in April I wont be covered under anything as far as they know. Am I right with thinking this?

Thanks for helping

Yes, that sounds right. Maybe even showing health insurance from your employer (if applicable) could help.

Today we have just linked the application using UCI for both ECAS and GCKey without receiving the email confirmation of the AOR and found the application number. Then we called CIC, just to confirm if that is the application number we suppose to receive. Also, we asked to verify our contact information on file since we highly suspected that my wife's (the sponsor's) email was entered wrong and that was the reason why we did not receive the AOR. The result turned out to be what we expected. They entered the email address wrong into their system. Therefore, I highly recommend you contact CIC for a verification. The guy who picked up our phone call did gave us a bit hard time at first saying that the information he got is that CIC is still processing cases received by Nov. 18th today. Then we told him that we have successfully linked our application online and then he became more corporative. Your UCI should be the same with the eight digit number on your Canadian visa if you applied any type of visa. Give it a try and good luck!

hi Guys just got my OWP.. :) :) :) :) :)... Just wanted to check, do we need to get a temp SSN no. and how do we get it..

Yes. Take your OWP and passport to Service Canada and ask for a temporary SIN. They will give it to you on the spot.
