Today I received my landing interview request.
I applied on May 3rd. 2016 and received PCC request on August 10, 2016

That's awesome! Thanks for this!

Dear friends,

I submitted my application on 1st.Nov for Inland family spouse sponsorship. Do you know what is the roughly time that I could hear from CIC? They will send first letter to the sponsor person's email address, right?
Another question is I will be in Canada in 6 months on 18th.Jan, 2017 under tourist visa. I understand I might be in implied status, but my concern is what if something wrong with my application and it return back to me. then do I lost implied status? I also applied open work permit at the same time.

I want to me if necessary for me to extend my visitor visa to be safe? if so, can I extend anytime before 18th.Jan?

Thank you so much for the suggestions, advice! Wish us all good luck!

4-8weeks is about right for AOR to the sponsors rmail. AOR means they are not returning the application. THe OWP gives you implied status and will take 4 mos to get.

If you do not have AOR by Jan 17, 2017, then apply online to extend your visit.

Inlanders get a special type of permit. Did he apply for an Open Work Permit? It takes 4 months to get.

You can call CIC to ask what happened..

Thanks for advice, yes OWP

Hi All

Is the AOR sent to a Sponsor or a Principle Applicant ? My sponsor got the email from CIC this morning, saying that they have received our application... I didn't get any email from them though.

Hi,

When did you send your application? and where did you send it to?

Thanks

Congrats! Don't forget to go to Service Canada to claim your Temporary Social Insurance Number (SIN). When you land, you will need to get a permanent one..

See, the problem is, that they can land people within a few days. You can't give up hope until December 24th! (apparently they still work on Christmas???)
