UPDATE:

OWP got approved today.

OWP app was originally sent with PR app but was returned because we missed one signature. we mailed it back June 15, CIC received it June 17.

Well thank you Jesus we got the PCC today from customs now we are going to copy it and send it off express tomorrow. So can anyone tell how long after they receive the declaration and PCC do they take for the next step? What is the next step?

Trust me Jesus was involved because non of this would be happening without Him. You may not believe in Jesus but I do. I appreciate all the advice and help from here.

We got a batch PCC request which some think might have been from the inventory Reduction Program currently running. We are unsure, and so far, we have not heard anything from them formally. We did submit by Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) and courier the same day to Vegreville. It was confirmed received by both the courier and the CSE. As of late, there has been nothing from CIC.

Not sure if anyone noticed but they changed the updated tuesdays to updated daily on their website when you check the client status. That could be a good thing. Also, does anyone know if sponsorship approval comes before AIP?? Is it necessary to get it? Or possible to just get AIP without the SA?

Thank you german97. Its hard to know if they are actually doing anything with your file if you dont have any correspondence from them!

They probably havent even started yet but I am trying to get my head around what to expect.

No problem Bex! I know what you mean, some officers don't even update the status online, so you won't have any idea where your application is until you receive an email. We're hoping we get DM soon, a few people on the spreadsheet with very similar timelines are already done, and we feel if they just looked at our application it would be finished, we did fees medical and police clearances all up front.

I have applied for restoration of status late August, since my visitor visa expired just few days before sending my PR app. No news on my TRV since then, until this morning when I got this email from CIC:

"There have been no updates to your application (V.....) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience."

Had anyone ever received something similar regarding any type of application?!

My friend applied for inland sponsorship in Dec 2015 and SA last month. Can he apply for Open work permit online? What is AOR 1 and AOR 2 means?

Could anyone please clarify on this?

AOR - usually the sponsor receive it, sometimes the applicant, sometimes both, sometimes none.
"This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on *** on behalf of the following member(s): ***"

Have you linked your OWP App online?

An email was sent to my spouse a day before saying "your application has ben updated" and then the next day,
2 emails, one was another "your app has been updated" and the other was "you have a message in your account" so I went online to check the message... It was a PDF saying her app was approved and that we should receive it in the mail within 6 weeks.

That's my problem, I cant seem to link my application to my CIC Account, I hope it can reflect in my "check ky application" site. I guess I'll be recieving an email as well, right?
