Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Hi guys
I'm new to this forum,and I'm glad that I found this.It is such a good place to get some answers

I've sent my Sponsorship Application on May 10th 2016 via Canada Post, application was received on May 12th. Since than i didn't here anything back,Its been 4 months and I still dont have AOR.
Is there is anyone on here that applied in May and didn't receive anything yet?
Is there is some way that I can contact immigration office?

All of the may applicant here received their AOR. you can check it on this link (speadsheet) for the exact dates.

You can contact the CIC via case specific inquiry and explain everything and make sure to attached the copy of your tracking number from canada post showing confirm of received/signed.

I recently got my OWP and since then I am actively looking for jobs. I was on student permit before I got my OWP. Now since I have OWP do I still need to attend the school or can I withdraw?

Is your student permit still valid? If not, you may have to withdraw.

What a bloody epic..had to leave wed 4am to drive to a relatives owing to a family matter (oww you can go honey, you are just sitting here anyways)....local like...3000+ km Alberta to Ontario..then the same back..just catching up quick before bed.

Ended up in the home town of the wife...Mississauga!!

Anyways, while there, I asked someone who should know.. :

No IRCC processing office will accept a personal handing in on documentation...UNLESS an officer has specifically requested you to do so...even if you live next door.

Yeah I knew they likely wouldn't. I would have actually tried anyway if it was super important.

Canada is a pretty big place. I have heard the drive from Alberta to Ontario is really only interesting at either end. Is that so?

Hey Everyone

I am new to the forum. I submittd my inland application and it was received by cic on March 14 2016.

I was out of status when I submitted my application and I didn't send an application for OWP along with my application.
It's been 7 months now and I was wondering if now would be a good time to apply for OWP or do I have to wait until I receive first stage approval?

It shouldn't. As long as you've maintained status in Canada (OWP), I don't see why that would matter to them.

Use the details from your AOR (UCI / Application number) and as much of the personal details of the PA as you can (exact spellings, etc).

When all else fails, call CIC (888-242-2100).

Hi there, I have a question. I`m an inland applicant from Montreal. It`s been 26 days and still haven`t received AOR. Do they email it to Quebec applicants or do I get the letter(the one I am supposed to send to MIDI) by regular mail? I know the average for AOR is like 40 days but in the last month and a half I see people receiving it in 20-23 days. I was curious. Thanks
