Petalpop - It looks like you have not received sponsor approval yet? Or did you just miss it in your post above.

Just wondering if they are doing the landing interview before sponsorship approval?

Thanks!

isn't sponsor approval part of AIP in inland processing, not separate from it? so if the applicant has AIP, the sponsor is assumed to be approved?

Alam!! congrats!!!! as my timeline is exactly the same as yours did you get an email to advise you had your OWP or did it just rock up in the mail? We have a PO box so wont know exactly when it arrives!

Hi Ringlands thanks.
I called CIC and they told me that they mailed OWP on July 27 and I received by mail on August 2.
no email.

Thanks CDNPR2014 - I think that is the case, but im new to the process and a lot of people have entered on the spreadsheet that they have received these things first where on the spreadsheet for Petalpop it looks like it was almost skipped over. I doubt it would have been though and it is included. It would just be nice to have some understanding of those time frames also.

Im still trying to learn all the lingo for everything and work out what comes next for each process and what to expect! :D :D

Good luck with your interview.

Alam, we don't have an interview yet. We do not even have SA yet. Still patiently waiting.

Hi Bex. It is okay. We are all still learning.

Hi all,

First time poster, long time creeper.

I'm excited to say that my partner landed at CIC-Etobicoke today. We were received at Mississauga with OWP on Mar 17, got both AORs when everyone else did. We were sent a request for info on Jun 1, received it on Jun 22, and responded on June 29. WP was approved on Jul 9 for two years. On Jul 19 the OWP arrived and we got SA. On Jul 20 we got DM and invited to a landing interview for this morning.

We called CIC about our info request and they said we had been selected for a pilot project of 34k applications to be expedited. I believe CIC identified our app as straightforward and basically complete, and pushed it through. My partner is Irish, we have similar backgrounds, are the same age, travelled to see each other every 5 weeks for a year before he came to Canada on an IEC, and had tons of documentation to show our relationship and cohabitation.

I believe that applicants from certain countries and demographics are being prioritized so that CIC can publicize their results on campaign promises. The spreadsheet shows the other applicants whose cases have been rushed through are Aus and American.

Good luck to everyone!

Immigeek Congrats.

With regard to your comment on applicants from certain countries and demographics being prioritized by CIC, I noticed that too. Thank you for your insight.

thank you for the update and congrats!

They started the background check on me on 29th July, I would have thought that's one of the last stages? I've not had SA or AIP yet!

interesting. if inland continues to process this quickly for 2016, then it doesn't seem logical to have the OWP program in place for new applications any more. it seems like a waste of time and money to process an OWP in 4 months when the person actually lands in 5-6 months. so it will be interesting to see how the entire process continues to unfold, and whether the pilot program will continue. it's always a guessing game with CIC!

I agree. And for older applicants that were out of status--they didn't get the OWP...they had to wait for AIP...which lately after AIP, applicants land soon after---so those who applied for the OWP after AIP got their OWP and landing around the same time...wasting their money and time. It will be interesting to see if they renew the pilot program another year. Set to expire again December 22, 2016.

Hi friends!
Quick question for fellow AIPlers who might have connected their application in MyCiC:
Does your MyCIC also show that your eligibility is still being reviewed, despite having received AIP? Not sure if they update it as slowly as the old CIC application status page...

Hi congrats to everyone who got their landing . That is pretty exciting but little confusing too. We applied in December 2015 and I just got one AOR and they asked me for pcc from back home after that nothing happened till now. Did any December applicant got copr or SA or AIP.thanks
