I just read it again and I believe it is AIP - it states that now I can apply for work/study permit (which came with the AIP before the pilot program as I understand) and that they have to go through my medial and police checks (which I sent in with my application package). I applied Feb 19th 2016, and my husband just received SA last week. Everything is happening a lot faster than expected...

great news, congrats!

I also pass on my congrats, hope I get such a speedy response :)

Checking the spreadsheet it seems as of today there are already four 2016 applicants with AIP!!!!!!!! Jan / Feb 2016 applicants!!!!!!

hello everyone :D
Today I have received my AIP. Does anybody know is it possible to apply for OWP online once I received AIP? Also I would like to know how long does the online OWP application take?
Thanks :)

what is your timeline if you don't mind me asking?

My wife just checked her email and found a message from CIC saying she's been approved as an applicant, so looks like we've received AIP!

We submitted our application on Mar 26th 2016
File number was received in Mid June
Sponsor approved on July 5th 2016, received by email
today, july 13 2016, the sponsred person ( Applicant) recevied a letter stating that

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

I am wondering whehter this is the AIP?
IF yes, can we apply for the OHIP now with this letter?
Thank you guys.

if you could put your timeline to the spreadsheet that would help the folks in waiting :)

Congrats Vaya. So happy for you. Can I just ask everyone that has received SA & AIP has anything been updated in your ECAS or it hasn't moved?

Thanks! And congrats to the other people who got approved. I am sure that they will get caught up with the other applications soon, keeping my fingers crossed for everybody!
Sipfarms, thanks! I just checked my ECAS and it still just states "Application received" - I have a feeling that nothing will change until an actual decision is made.

A question for those who have more experience: I haven't done a language test - do I have to expect to be asked by CIC that I need one as well? All that was stated in my email was that I should pay the RPRF as soon as possible, nothing else has been requested.

I was wondering the same thing, nothing has changed in our ECAS either.
