Do you think it would be easier/time saving to get another certificate?

yes, because there's a good chance they really need it, and the sooner it's done the sooner they will check it off their list. it's better to follow the request than ignore it... always!

I may be wrong but is it not that applicant police certificate usually the last step in the process?

not sure how it exactly works for inland...

I feel like they didn't look through the application carefully enough because the letter says they haven't receive the certificates, not that the ones provided have expired.

"sponsor approval" is specific to the outland application process, not inland. For Inland, sponsor eligiblity is part of the AIP process. I'm not sure inland applications receive an AOR2...

inland and outland have different processings, so there are many aspects that are not relavant to both streams.

Thanks for clearing that up.

In my case the sponsor received AOR but not the principal applicant.

Hello everyone. Jan 20 applicant here. I just checked the spreadsheet and saw a bunch of January applicants has received the 2nd AOR. Just wondering whats written in the 2nd AOR? And is there a specific waiting time to receive this?

Also, does anyone know if cic will give a confirmation if they received the police celearance? We sent ours 3 months after we sent the application.

In our case, the 2nd AOR was sent to the Applicant's email starting with the following:
Dear XXXXX
This is an automated system-generated letter to acknowledge the receipt of your application. Your application has been assigned the unique file number indicated at the top of this letter. All your correspondence with this office should refer to that unique file number.
This confirms that your application for Permanent Residence under the Spouse or common-law partner in Canada class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on DD/MM/YYYY.

There is no written rule for the validity of police certificate in the case of spousal sponsorships. It used to be that CIC must receive it within three months from the date of issue.
Now there are clear rules for Express Entry candidates, but it says that a PCC can be expected as long as the applicant hasn't been back to the country since the PCC was issued (and even if the aplpicant still lives in the country, it is valid for 6 months)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

In any event, it is very unlikely that IRCC would consider a PCC that was issued in January 2016 expired.
Do you have copies of the PCCs?
I would file a Case Specific Inquire, expain that it was in the original package and that it was issued in Jan, 2016. Provide copies if possible. Most likely it is a mistake.

Hello Everyone,

What are docs are needed to show finance for inland application - Employment letter and Option C printout, anything else?

This makes a lot more sense...great info.

Finally got OWP in the mail yesterday BUT they've made a mistake & excluded working in the health field. That's as handy as a pocket in a singlet for a nurse. Did the same thing with IEC application & had to reapply for work permit & pay again because it was done online & had no copy of original as proof & couldn't get into original application. You live & learn so have copies of everything this time so hopefully it will be fixed without paying again.

On the upside, got an email today requesting Police Check for PR application. I think that must mean "You have progressed in the queue." Yay!

hi Sipfarms
we also got a request for additional docs, the strange thing is that we have to send the additional docs to Vegreville not the Mississauga.

how about you guys?

Experts:
is this mean that inland sponsorship applications are processed all over the country not only in Mississauga?

thanks for your input

Hello Everyone,

Good Afternoon.

while checking my application status online i found out that my mailing address is incorrect, Different from my home address. So i did change it online based on the instructions 5 days ago. Now i checked application status but the CIC remove the mailing address box right next to the right box of home address. What's the problem on this?

Thank you.

Yep. Our request was to send to Vegreville not Mississauga as well. Maybe Vegreville doesn't have much of a load & they're helping them out to get through the applications faster. We can only hope.
