My OWP was mailed to me August 02 and it has yet to arrive. I think its officially lost in the mail. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

CRA sends mails that take almost a month sometimes -- unless they think you owe them money -- then they appear the next day.

I'm not sure who updates it but a little more accuracy is needed when inputting other people's information. I just noticed that in the comments section associated with my user name it says "pcc reuqested August 10"; i did not add this to be a new entry. We don't want to go misleading and misrepresenting things now do we

Hi, I'm the applicant of this March, so far I haven't heard from cic except AOR1/AOR2. I saw some people already got SA/AIP or got some letters to request pcc from cic in order to streamline the straightforward cases. Does that mean that my case is considered to be 'not straightforward'?
I did submit police check from my home country together with the application but not with the medical. I'm thinking to get a medical exam recently, but is that too early as if it would expire?The linked my account status showed the background check is 'in progress' and review of eligibility is 'not started'. Any suggestions? Thanks!

May 13 - AOR1
June 27 - OWP
August 10 - PCC letter (which may actually turn out to be false)

Country of origin: Russian Federation
Canadian City: Cambridge, Ontario
Medical and PCC sent with the application.

Are you sure the SA / AIP was from 2016 inland applications? From what I have read, and what the CIC has told me, the SA / AIP is done now in one step 'Determine Eligibility' that takes 16 months. The medical expires after a year. We did ours upfront, and will redo it when CIC requests it.

If I can ask, where did you link to the account? How do you get to see more details??

Profiler...Mycic, search for that term on any search engine, should bring up a link to a page titled create or sign in..or something along those lines.

Create an account, then link your PR application to it..you then have 2 advantages...whenever a stage changes...it emails you and tells you something has changed, so you never have to check status constantly. Secondly any written letters about your PR SHOULD be either copied/or sent directly to the email account you used to create the account.

As you can see we have a lot more info, like for example background check started etc.

...and not getting anyone's hopes up (except my own) but your background check WOULD need to be started now to have a chance of being completed by the end of the year, if you are being streamlined. (Earlier post in the thread stated CIC helpline let slip that the streamlining project and those cases involved needs to be finalized by years end...the end of the project).

Funny part here is, it should say in ecas: "In Progress" from what I have read if they are at the background checking stage. If I understand correctly....

Profiler....watch your tax dollars at work....I heard that IRCC have passed a new directive that workers cannot look out the windows and watch the world go by in the mornings...so they have something to do in the afternoons!
