Thanks Profiler. Was just worried and wanted to make sure that it wasnt a precursor to anything bad. I wish someone who got dm and landed with a similar gcsm notes partial release would share his or her experience.

No one will have that at DM. It will be s.21. s.15 is when it's in process, and every person who has ever applied for a PR has had the same at some point.

Unless you have a record of subversive actions or attitudes... or belong to a terror org. If you're a normal "Joe" and haven't done anything bad in your life -- you've got nothing to worry about.

Pay slips from an employer is enough... But I didn't need that at all for CIC-Kitch... they didn't even care who I was. No ID required.

Because they know you're balling LOL

I wish that was the case.... If they did actually look into my background at all, they would see that I have had CSIS (via Public Safety Canada) dig into my history because of the work I do. We supply maritime intel to about 90 countries and NATO/EU). So, they *do* know I work, and I *do* get paid. Because they are one of those countries who pay :).

In other words. They know you're PAID = balling lol. Got it.

I really wouldn't call it that. I would say I do ok -- but there is always room for improvement!

I characterize "Balling" as excessive money. This I don't have, for sure.

Hi profiler, I'll need to land at CIC-Kitchener as well, though I haven't got DM yet. For the landing, do both the sponsor and the applicant need to be there? I ask since my husband is traveling for conferences right now.

Yes, both are required to be present. If they email while he is gone, you can advise them that you will have to defer the appointment until he returns. The big problem here is, if he doesn't return soon, your security and medical could expire, meaning you have to wait more time...

Thank you! I just redid the medical last week so it's not a concern; for the security, I read that the police certificates are valid as long as you leave that country (or don't stay in that country for long?) after getting them?

Security != Criminality. Security is much deeper and takes 3-6 months to complete...

I love Winterpeg! I was lucky enough to visit it in 2007. The air is so dry there that you feel much less the cold than in Quebec city. I truly enjoyed my time there, that's a wonderful city for the curling world!

I was there few times too, my hubby was born there. It is actually super hot in the summer.
