No, there is no excessive demand threshold for spousal cases. There is for PGP cases, but not spousal. It's really only public safety.
I read that in PGP post where one sponsoring his father have stage 4 kidney cancer

Let me look for the thread

Finally, I got my medical request today! I'm April 21. 2016 applicant. It was so tiring to look ECAS and MyCic few times per day. And today, when I wasnt looking, I finally got it! I'm reading to all your posts everyday while I'm drinking my coffee and finally I have something to report lol.

Good to know

I mean....unless they don't follow their own rules... If they do, in spousal and dependents' cases, it is exempted from excessive demand (this is what they mean by using too much of the health care resources). Because Medical's only assess demand and public safety, that only leaves public safety as a reason a medical could cause a refusal -- do you agree?

It depends on the case and how serious it is and if they can control with meds they can stay and you agree with it

Hey congrats... it means they have made it to April 21 and they have finally started to get ready to process your case! You should watch ECAS (IMHO) for state changes now.

Just a heads up: They seem to be processing Medicals before AIP. This makes sense, because they give you 30 days to get the medical completed, and every date CIC gives, has a buffer built into it. That way, they can provide extensions if necessary. So, if I was guessing, they are nearing the time that they expect to assess you for AIPit about the next 30 days or so. They might do it sooner or later -- but my guess is about the 30 day mark.

The reason here is: In order to issue a COPR, they must have a valid medical and a valid security clearance. Both have validity dates on them. So, 30 days puts you right in line with going SA -> DM. I believe this is how they plan to rock the new applications.

Yes, I agree with u, first medical and then AIP. But I still got so excited, cant even work lol. Already booked Dr appointment and blood test for tmw! My friend apply on April 11 2016, she got medical request 2 weeks ago, and 5 days after AIP....So hopefully I'll got it very soon :)

We just scheduled appointment for medical exam. It's half way on 30 days need to submit the results. Does the doctor send in every case the results to CIC?

In Canada, all Medical Examiners are using eMedical to submit the medical electronically to CIC.
