It actually can be a bit long after you get DM, it depends mainly where you will land. Etobicoke and Montreal appears to be the slowest offices (they are the busiest offices in the country). My wife will land in Montreal; she got DM on March 21st, so we are at 7.5 weeks after DM and yet, no sign of Montreal for a landing appointment.Did you mean 12 days? 12 weeks seems too long
The landing appointment depends on how busy the office is. Etobicoke from what I read, generally took 6-8 weeks before they reach you for landing appointment.Did you mean 12 days? 12 weeks seems too long
Oh wow I applied the day I received my AORGood to know they do it much faster in the process! We were requested to apply in the end of June 2016 (10 months after application).
Not to worry. You're still within timeframe. If you call the IRCC at the moment. The automated message as today May 12th will state they are processin applications sent up to March 28th 2016.Hi Everyone,
New to this site and hoping to hear status updates from people who applied in October 2016. My fiance and I applied for Spousal Sponsorship and received the following on our online status update:
My fiance hasn't yet been approved as a sponsor yet, our lawyer said usually that process takes around 4 months and we are way past that. My OWP application was sent back by the Mississauga office stating they do not process work permits (although they do when it is submitted with a spousal application). When our lawyer sent the forms back they rejected it and asked us to send the paper work permit application to Vegreville and it will be cleared once my spouse is approved as a sponsor. We submitted my background checks, medical forms etc upfront as our lawyer said this may help expedite the process.
- We received your application to sponsor *** on October 28, 2016.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 22, 2016.
- We started processing your application on November 21, 2016.
Still no movement on the first stage of our application so I wanted to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences or applied in October 2016 and has had some progress.

Oki dok, I will for sure. Thank you so much, Profiler! No it should be ok, as long as you didn't overstay... Also be sure to carry docs to prove you have a PR app in play, and verse yourself on dual intent (Google CIC dual intent).
From what I understand, you can still ask them to issue it, but they may demand a new medical and or security clearance.Dear sir. Accept my greetings. I live in Cameroon. I have a pertinent issues disturbing me with regards to migrating to Canada under the family class. My wife is my sponsor and she lives in Canada. The Canadian embassy sent me an e- mail a year ago to send my passport for PR visa but unfortunately I can't explain what happened I did not received this mail. It was last month is April 2017 my wife wrote Dakar to find out about the status of my application before we discovered they requested my passport since last year WC is 11 months ago. Dear sir can I still send my passport to the Canadian embassy for the PR visa to be affixed explaining to them what happened? I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards

Same thing happened to me. I got DM on ECAS and only several days, no less than a week, I received email saying there is a message in mycic account. I checked it, and it was DM letter. If ECAS showed DM for both Sponsor and PA then congrats. You will get DM email or even landing appointment soon. I say no more than 12 weeks.
It's DM. Sponsors are pretty hard not to get a positive decision.
Landed after 15 mos. Had to resent additional payment when we missed $100 for OWP. IRCC requested for RCMP clearance even though it was sent with my application. Sent a letter with documents provided.
I would recommend keeping all receipt (parcel etc.) and Sponsor and Applicants checklist on a separate sheet of paper. If you have to re-send a document (mail) keep a copy of the reciept and re-send the requested document online as well thru Case Specific Inquiry.
Med request and Med received after 3 days.
No interview and No DM letter. COPR was sent and we had to reschedule twice due to my partners holiday.
Landed which only took 5 mins.
Some roads might be rough but we always get through it. Thank you everyone and lets continue to support our fellow future immigrants.
