Basically even if not more complex every case is different. Perhaps some people provided what was deemed more concrete proof of relationship, just as an example. GuyanaGirl (Sorry girlie had to use you) was with her partner for 10 years (longer than some marriages). So she had evidence for a decade for her relationship with her SO.

She applied in July 2016 and I applied in March 2016. I have been met my hubby in 2010 and we moved in together in August 2014. She will have more evidence of proof of relationship than me. 10 years vs almost three years.

Things like that make a difference.

Who said they have not started looking at your file? Did you order your GCMS notes?

Now that makes more sense to me. But even though it's tough to see people landing when your app that was submitted before has not even started you know?

Anyway as I see March 2016 coming to the end my hope is that they really start April sooner than later and we all get through this in the next couple months or so......

Hi All! I'm new to this thread. Here's my timeline:

-Application (inland, my sponsor is my husband) sent in from Nova Scotia to Miss. 3/15/16
-Application sent back in full because it was missing a form on 5/10/16
-Returned application to CIC on 5/11/16
-Officially received and in system as "application received" on 5/15/16
-They reached out for an updated Schedule A on 7/15/16

I also applied for a work permit at the same time, but have not heard back. My one big question is, do they approve the sponsor (my husband) at the same time I hear back I've gained temporary residence? Reading thru recent posts I'm feeling optimistic about approval by the end of the year!

Crazy is nothing compared to what this process does to us. It struggles peoples' lives

it's true tooK us 18 months but my husband had his landing interview on April 28 2017 just it's trying on relationship after this you can do anything

I should also add my medical was received as of this January, 2017, even though I submitted and did it up front when I applied.

Just wondering how do they know if my case is more complex than others or not if in the notes I received last week it says that my eligibility as a sponsor has NOT STARTED YET. And it's 11 months since we submitted our application

So please tell me how do they magically know if they didn't even start looking at it?

I know for sure i have to save some money to pay the shrink to keep me in my right mind when all this is over. Lol
My wife think am addicted to this forum ha ha and she may be right! But when i come here , read some of what is contributed here, i know its the process
So all i do is humble myself and wait.we all wish to finish, but from whichever perspective you view this from, its a previledge ,not a right.

As a police officer. . . . . I took the advise of that profiler, and i calm myself, because i knew that wasnt accurate.
What did i do? Send my personal, educational and professional history.

BUT I SURE WANT A WHISKEY ON THAT WHITE SANDY BEACH IN NEGRIL WHEN ALL THIS IS OVER.

Kate, they asked me for updated IMM5406 and IMM5669 three times. The last time I sent it was January 2017. (Thanks Profiler!)

OWP should only take about 3-4 months? Did you pay CAD$255.00? Were you out of status?

In the past it was SA then AIP and then DM. But in 2017 we have seen some people go straight to AIP and DM.
