LOL this was funny though... PATIENCE! its hard. I'm in the same boat...oh well. TIME.

Glad you enjoyed that. Turns out, it wasn't political at all. But, granted, I make anecdotes that are intended to make people laugh or smile. But this certainly wasn't one of those..

The problem here that I have seen is, that people (wittingly or not) incite their own stress, then it festers and spreads to others.

The process is hard enough for everyone. I know, I am a member, remember? When people persistently always have progressively negative comments about the process or the wait, what do you expect the result will be? Simple psychology. It will spread like a virus. It doesn't help anyone.

To me, it's way out of line to equate a refugee to someone who lives a reasonably (all things considered, of course) comfortable / safe life. That's not political, that's human decency 101.

Anyway, focusing on the positive, and sharing laughs along the way makes it way easier than persistent hate-bred tunnelvision ... "omg the process is soooo hard" type talk. Of course it will be super stressful -- you fed that stress back onto yourself.

wow!!!!
this is a process that can be very unnerving-verb
gerund or present participle: unnerving
make (someone) lose courage or confidence.
"the bleakness of his gaze unnerved her"
synonyms: demoralize, discourage, dishearten, dispirit, daunt, alarm,
frighten, dismay, disconcert, discompose, perturb, upset, discomfit, take
aback, unsettle, disquiet, fluster, agitate, shake, ruffle, throw off balance;
so i am looking forward to being able to travel
looking forward complete this process
here, there are are some contributors who offers their advise , some i agree with some i disagree, but i take nothing personal, here i owe no one anything and no one owes me.
i guess we can all conclude one thing, we want to land!!!!!ha ha ha

My bill's in the mail, eh?

Seriously though, where are you going to vacation?? They actually gunna let you leave this place??

Update- March 2016

I just received notice that I'm eligible for Permanent Residence! They said in the letter that I have to go through Medical (done) background check, etc, and pay for my right to permanent residency. :)

When did you apply? In our case, it was right after (~7 days) medical that we got a decision...

They'd be crazy to let a guy like you out... SHEESH... I thought we were supposed to lock the crazies up?? :)

Ya, my bill -- you said you don't owe anyone anything :). Seriously though, there is a little street-meat stand in Cambridge, "LA Franks" that is only open Spring -> Fall. Best street food ever. And, Canadian Tire money is accepted on par (they buy lots of propane, etc).

I can't say I have been to Great Wolf, but I have heard of it...

OMG, Let me not get too excited, let's see what happens :)

In our case it was a little weird... our MP was involved because of another CIC department not sending case notes in a timely fashion... I was told by their office, when we got the medical request to "hurry" and finish it, they are ready to make a decision.

2 days after it was submitted it showed in their systems as "passed". 7 days after the medical was submitted, we got a DM in ECAS, and a landing letter within an hour. Others from the same office are not seeing that speed in landing invites..

So, your mileage may vary, but I suspect you might be getting a DM real soon..

I'm guessing they're using some sort of template to be asking for things you sent upfront anyway
