Hi all,

Brief recap:
-Applied Jan 18
-I am American, my partner is a Canadian citizen.
-AOR in March
-SA in May
-AIP in July
-RPRF paid in Feb
-Medical exam in March
- DM online and letter April 6:

"We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke IRCC will contact you to arrange an appointment for
the finalization of your permanent resident application."

The letter just says I need to bring my passport.

I've been reading through the last 50 pages or so of this forum (I'm on an overnight bus to NYC so I have a lot of time haha) and I saw that Etobicoke tends to be slow in setting up these appointments...Does anyone have any timelines they could share regarding their experience with this stage? Also, it was not clear from the letter whether I go by myself to the appointment or if my partner and I both go. Either way, it sounds like it should be pretty easy once we get there.

Just getting anxious now that we can see the finish line!!

Thanks everyone for any comments/insight.

50 pages? So like, 2 weeks? (Sorry about that!)

You and your sponsor must attend. From other's posts, Etobicoke is running about 6-8 weeks behind now.

Hi Guys!

I sponsored my commonlaw wife. CIC received our application on July 22, 2016. We received an email from CIC in a pdf file on Wednesday (April 12, 2017).

It says..

If you have not yet submitted the following documents, you must submit them to this office:
Police Certificate(s) The principal applicant (and all family members 18 years or older) is required to submit a police certificate(s) from the:
• The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18

We included the police clearance backhome in our application. So I am wondering if they need a new one? or should I call them? Thanks and have a good long weekend guys!!

:) :D ;D

If you read above on this page, or check the last 20 pages, it was a batch reminder message. It says If you've already included one, to disregard the message.

So you can:
- disregard if your certain you included one, and you haven't been in that country since the issue date on the PCC,
- send a pdf copy and a note stating that it was already included, or
- get a new one and submit that.

You pick..

Happy Easter everyone. I hope Santa Bunny is good to you all. Bring on Dental Filling Season!

Service Canada and Service Ontario are both closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday. Canada Post also doesn't deliver mail on either of those days. I'd hedge a bet most of the IRCC offices would end up doing the same, though I could be wrong.

So, the comments were made in jest. However, it should be noted that, some in 2015 did receive AOR on Christmas Day.

Given the present backlog, and that IRCC is presently running 2hrs a day, and weekends at CPC's, I wouldn't rule anything out...
