Hi everyone, I am new here. My apologies if this was addressed already as it was posted way back in June. Please direct me to the answer if possible-sipfarms said:Good news everyone. Will now send case specific enquiry & lodge updated work contract now that Canadian provisional nurse registration has been accepted as well. Things are looking up.
Sipfarm, What did you have to do to amend your work permit to include working in the health field?
I am concerned about my situation as I work with children and I think this field is often excluded in the general work permits. I have included an Upfront Medical with my PR application. Do they look at this medical when they process the Work Permit? Or Are you supposed to send in another one with the OWP appplication?
My application received Aug 4, AOR 1 Aug 25.

"If a client falls within a group defined by section R30, or where a client requests, and is eligible for, an unrestricted open work permit, medical instructions should be issued. An unrestricted open work permit may not be issued until proof is received that medical status is acceptable. The results of the medical examination will dictate whether an applicant may be issued an open work permit that is unrestricted, or one that has an occupational restriction due to health problems.
Note: Any restriction (not the client's actual medical condition which led to the restriction) should be noted on the work permit."

"If a medical examination was not completed, one of the conditions below must be imposed. The specific occupational sector restriction will depend on whether the person has resided in a designated or non-designated country.
For persons from non-designated countries, the following condition should appear on the work permit:
“Not authorized to work in 1) child care, 2) primary or secondary school teaching, 3) health services field occupations.”
For persons from designated countries, the following condition should appear on the work permit:
“Not authorized to work in 1) child care, 2) primary or secondary school teaching, 3) health services field occupations, 4) agricultural occupations.”"

. We only had about 40 kids. But when speaking to the other people I work with, they also said about 40. So it seems average...
We had about 90, counting the candies left... But I live in a very crowded tight-community neighbourhood where everybody knows almost everybody so it was also parents socializing; I guess that;s why there were so many of them.profiler said:Hey that's great

If Ponga (and my educated guess, and the crystal ball) is (are) correct, then we are almost done. It appears we have been in Step 2 of the flow chart - Admissibility check since June or July. They are just waiting for Criminality / Security to finish (according to MP). Looking at the SIR bulletin, and assuming that it works in (almost) sequence, that corroborates the assertion. It would also make sense that my wife's medical was accepted as passed September 29th. Medical is one of the items on the Step 2 checklist...
As I said, I am lost, because if I excuse what I see in ECAS/myCIC, they are right.... But I am not sure how much they modified the workflow to accommodate SIR.
So, the question is, who do I believe? The computer? Or do I believe the (mountain of) evidence?

Thanks. That would indicate that the crystal ball works. The initial reason why I ran the numbers was to see if I could predict when she would land. I have started to package it up, so the masses can use it. But I have been advised not to, because on another front, there is a group petitioning CIC to be more forthcoming with case information. Not sure what to do here either. If nothing else, it would be a good gag... but as long as the CIC's numbers are correct, you could reasonably predict. That said, CSIS/Interpol/RCMP/etc all could slow the process down.maria_mirabela said:
