I landed today at the Halifax CIC office on Brunswick Street! We arrived an hour early (eager...just a little!). There was no receptionist, just a small waiting area with two small offices/interview rooms whose doors were closed with notes asking "please don't knock, interview in progress".

When one of the doors opened and a small family came out (all smiley!), the agent called someone elses' name but they weren;t there. She took us next. She asked for our passports and my two photographs. She then asked me 4 questions and my husband only one. After that, I was asked if I had travel plans for the next 2 months and said "no". Currently the processing time for PR cards is 61 days.

The whole thing took maybe 8 minutes. I'm so relaxed right now! Thanks everyone for your support. It meant a lot. Good luck to those of you still waiting for news. It will come faster than you think!
Congratulations!

April 2016 applicant still waiting...?

I should not complain than... I am July 2016 applicant..

But did you get SA/AIP letter at least?

got Decision made on Sponsor side but not on Applicant side, got the letter months ago and since then nothing at all. have never had any "waiting for documents" or any problems at all with the application or anything like that, everything was submitted properly and smoothly a year and a half ago, just waiting and waiting and waiting

I just called CIC to ask about my application which has received by Sept 13 2016. They said my application still in background stage. Do any one knows usually how long the BG check will take?
I've no idea, but I'm in the same boat as you. Sept 13, 2016 and online application just says BG check. Not sure when it started.

Hi guys!!! Just wanted to post a quick life update since getting my PR last month. I have had sooooo many job interviews and landed all the jobs but had to say no to few. I am working full time at a medical office, I think I'll go to school for that field as well. Also got a job at a polish supermarket and have an interview for a clothing store tomorrow as well. Moving into my first apartment this weekend as well with my boyfriend. Still waiting on that PR card. Hope everyone's good xo

Hi Rizaki,

It may be worth asking an MP to reach out on your behalf. I was in a similar situation a few months ago, and my lawyer finally got a hold of someone at CIC and come to find out my application was one of 500 that didn't get linked properly into the system, and because of that there was a delay in him and I getting updates. Have you tried calling CIC? Perhaps start there? I found during this process that even with a hired rep i REALLY had to be my own advocate. GOOD LUCK!!

Hey guys i got my AOR on Aug 24, 2016
Today Aug 30, 2017 I saw Decision Made on both Sponsor and Applicant side.
Just wanted to share this update.

Few questions: are there any roadblocks after this that I need to be vary about? The status on ECAS says decision made but when I click the link on the inside there is no other information, other than We started processing your application/Medical received.

Also I just moved to a new place yesterday and I submitted my address change request today through ECAS. Do I need to do anything else, it says it will take 15 days to change the address in their system.

Congratulations, you are done and waiting for a landing appointment. The landing appointment will normally come by email, so you should not worry too much about your change of address. However, if you can, keep an eye to your previous mailbox or register with Canada Post to have your mail redirected to your current address.
