Out of curiosity... anyone (who got DM on ECAS both sides) from QC waiting for landing letter. Tomorrow I am gonna turn 3 weeks since DM on ECAS. Patience in force :p
the last I remember was @MagnusJ who landed in 5 weeks after DM in Montreal (he got the landing appointment letter 3 weeks after DM)

Edit: there was also @Laura13914 who got DM on June 30th, and will land on August 10th

your CoPR document (Confirmation of Permanent Residence).
With that in hands, you can get your permanent SIN.

@lexmark
And health insurance (if you don't have it). And government issued ID (driver's license, etc).

You'll get a PR Card that you can use to re-enter Canada within 8-10wks.

Question. How long does this take to be issued? I also don't see where I could receive one from my country.

We talked about this :). You'd need to fly into Bermuda I think? You have to pass the application to a visa centre. I am not sure how long the processing times are. It can be issued by any visa issuing centre..

No, I never asked in detail about it plus I don't think bermuda would even be the closest. Thanks though. Sucks it can't be done online

Can you leave Canada and re-enter with the COPR? Or do you absolutely need the card to travel? Holy moly 8-10 weeks seems like a long time.

You're 'murican... you don't need a visa to return. You can bring your COPR if you are worried about getting back into Canada..
