@profiler, in a previous post of @RKAZI , she mentioned that her husband is a Canadian, so they are fine. The only thing is to get the marriage certficate, which I'm sure, they can get from Pakistan. @RKAZI you probably can ask one of your family member (or husband's family) to get the marriage certificate for you in Pakistan and send it to you. Alternatively, you may check with a Pakistan consulate in Canada to see if you can order it through them.

Ok. If that's the case, then fine. You knew where I was going with this (as I didn't have time to review previous posts).

an Appelton Estate rum maybe (or a few of them as well)?

OoOOoO Mr Fancypants....
I guarantee @meaningful1 is having a better day then me. My insurer is only paying $300 of the $5,800 estimate. I have involved our CFO (to protest). Not expecting it to go anywhere.

ouch... I hope you can win the protest!
If I may joke a bit... maybe you can claim the insurance for the pain of your wallet?

CFO's response:

Oh crap that’s brutal. I think there is a description of the dental coverages in the employee handbook (I’m on vacation this week so I don’t have easy access to it) – can you take a look and let me know if you see something that they’ve ignored. Even if the answer is no, we’ll try contacting them and see if they can do anything.

Yes, I know. A lot of people wrongly think they can sponsor their spouse just being here on a work or study permit. In that particular case, I remembered the post, so I could find it back easily.

Well, at least there seems to be a moral support from your CFO...
Hey I hope you still can enjoy your vacations!

They refuse to pay anything associated to the implant. They are literally stopping coverage at the point that the tooth was removed. That's it. Hard stop. Ignoring the fact that, there would be structural issues in the area as a result, and they would be forced to pay out even more money to fix problems later with the other teeth in the area. They agreed to only pay for an x-ray and the extraction.

When you have your CFO (the plan sponsor) calling the insurance company on your behalf... you might get somewhere.... so we will have to see.
