I do miss some of mine too. But, my current boss is pretty chill. I don't mind coming into work, like I did at some other places.

Speaking of work: I was thinking about the backlog, and how CIC is presently processing. It's all making sense now.

They only take a few hours per case to finish it up. So, that tells me, that as long as they reach December 2016 by December 2017, they will be able to honour the 12 month commitment. That in mind, I don't think they have actually skipped anyone. I think they have identified cases that they want to look at a little more.

So, for anyone feeling "skipped", they likely didn't. They are probably either doing a review, or you may be queued up for a QA interview (or in the lottery anyway), or Security screening. That's my official line...

Yes I think you are right about that. I believe they will meet their 12-month commitment. And as evidence by me you are also correct about security screening taking longer for some.

There are others, but it's no secret why Obama is showing up again. He won't directly engage Trump WRT the lies. Instead, he will randomly show up, and remind the folks in America (and around the world), that, America was Great already. Sure some things were not working well. But policy is an iterative process. Down there, you only have 8 years max to change things.

Sadly, all we'll remember is the image of Trump sitting alone while other leaders are chatting in groups; and Ivanka (not an elected person, BTW) sitting in Trump's seat at sessions.

@ivan28 yeah, it's in their best interest to keep the velocity up. If you look in retrospect, they have cleared a YUUUGE number of cases. In previous years, they had a quota that they had to stop processing at (~60,000 PRs/yr for FC). At their present velocity, and given the numbers previously known to be in the queue, they are operating without a quota anymore (until they get it under control).

It also looks like they have resumed the Open Data reports. They now have a monthly!
