My husband and I were just approved for sponsorship (YAY!) on June 21, 2013. I am unable to check the status of our outland application online, but saw somewhere within the CIC website that the Seattle, USA site for processing is closed now?! BUMMER! :( (It was the shortest, at 11 months)

Does anyone know how I can figure out how/where my application is now?! How is this affecting processing time?

Thank you!

It should go to CPP-Ottawa for processing, and they are getting people through in 8-10 months, it looks like.

Thanks OPMama!
Do you mind sharing how you discovered that info!? So Seattle is still open, orrr?

You can email Ottawa, they will tell you. I was confused where mine was going, as I got a letter from Ottawa for the SA and yet it was telling me that my file was going to LA (At the time I thought Ottawa only did second stage). So e-mail Ottawa.

Before my time, but last summer, I think, they stopped processing US outland applications through consulate locations in the US, and started handling them at CPP-Ottawa. So if you just submitted your application a month ago (assuming so if you just got sponsor approval), maybe the better question is why you thought Seattle would be handling it :). The consulate in Seattle is still open, they just aren't handling these PR applications anymore.

Seattle is closed. As in - it is no more.
