Spousal Sponsorship after CoPR received

Hello,
I received my CoPR in the beginning on this year and got married couple of months ago. I emailed CIC of the change in my marital status and received a list of documents requested to add my spouse to my application.
I have been given various immigration forms, but they seem really confusing. So, I am trying to get some help on those and trying to avoid any mistake to smoothly complete the process of adding my spouse.
The email received from CIC states the following, as it is

Forms: 
- Updated Generic Application Form for Canada IMM 0008 for yourself and your spouse or common-law partner (CLP); 
- Updated Additional Family Information Form IMM 5406 for yourself and your spouse or common-law partner (CLP); 
- A completed and signed by your spouse or common-law partner (CLP)Schedule A Background/ Declaration IMM 5669; 
- Supplementary Information Your Travels form IMM5562 E for your spouse or common-law partner (CLP);

It would be very helpful if I can get some help on filling these forms correctly, as they are very confusing.

So which form/section are you confused with?

I believe that you have already filled in IMM 0008, IMM 5406, 5669 and 5562 for yourself.
Now you are adding your spouse to the application, and your status has changed.
So you need to re-fill in your forms IMM 0008, IMM 5406.
Your spouse has never fill-in any forms before. So they will need her for all the related forms.

The next step after will likely be Medical and Police check for your spouse.

Thank you for your response. Any idea on how long does it takes to add my spouse and get the CoPR again for me, since my spouse will be a non-accompanying applicant and can travel to Canada because she is a US citizen.

Btw you are not actually sponsoring your spouse right now.

Instead you are adding your spouse as a non-accompanying spouse/dependent in your own PR application.

So you may have more luck to check timeline of your updated application in the corresponding section of the forum. (e.g. Express Entry, PNP...etc)
