I would like to know what kind of info CIC is looking for in a spousal sponsorship case... What do they look for to ensure that the marriage is "genuine"? Besides photos and trips and letters calls etc what else should be provided in order to prove that our relationship is genuine....? There is a part of the application that indicates if there is anything else we would like to provide in order to support the application.. What else can we add? What else do they want to know? What else can we include to PROVE that our relationship is true?

Any advise/ideas would be appreciated...

Of course the Marriage certificate, but other things that come to mind are:
- joint bank accounts
- joint leases
- joint utilities
- joint insurance
- anything else joint!!!

The main point is to show that you have a real relationship. Diffrent people are different, but basically you show whatever evidences of the history of your relationship. I think you should present them in time order with a lear and short explaint. Make it easy for the Immigration Officer for reviewing and understanding. You also can high-light the part that you want to emphasize; Provide as much information as you can.

Analon some people can't have joint things together if they don't live in the same country for exapmle joint account but if you can add other utilities that that you had mentioned, it will definitely help a lot during the process.
Also don't wait to collect proof just when you get married or you intend to sponsor your spouse. Start at the time you had met.... Again it's only based on my opinion and experience.
Good luck everyone.

if a couple has never had a chance to live together how can they show something joint? short visits to see each other do not give such an opportunity

Suin your husband can add you on his house bills without you have been physically living with him as long you are married. Ask him to call them and let them know you want to be added as well so when he receives statement it shows both name on the account. The only exception is property taxes and water bill since depends if the house under both names or not...
Joint account some bank like Scotiabank you can open an account on the internet (there is only one special account you can subscribe on the internet without any signature) which they accept without any social insurance number from you but they request the one from your husband.
Anyways I'm talking out of my experience...

To add, include your respective families in the pictures. It's always good to give the impression that you have the blessings of your loved ones

Hi. I had never considered the idea of putting my wife's name on my bank account until she arrives in Canada. Seems strange to put her name now, so as to be proof of the genuiness of our marriage, but if it helps. I may have blown something else. I have been filing my taxes as single, but I am wondering if I could have declared my wife and daughter as dependants or how works if they are out of Canada. This year I have been sending some money, so that should be more proof if they ask concerning the seriousness of our marriage.

Genio in my opinion you provided more than enough. The reason why I had mentioned you can add your wife on your account because most of time you can't add your spouse until they are living with you. Scotiabank they introduced new joint account that you can open online without signinig or the presence of your other spouse spouse but one of them must have SIN #. Even if my husband doesn't live with me for now he is my husband and he is entitled to be added as well If I really trust him... That's why I married him :0).
