Yes we are including the Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] (PDF, 570.00 KB)

That is where that information was mentioned, unless i am missing some other form ?
Since we do not have any kids, we are not submitting Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP] , or shall we submit that as well and put Not applicable on it ?

@@EMNG5 we were in same boat as you, we had to run around and get the certificate, but if we were not able to i think you need this as well (it's important):
. Affidavit/Letter (notarized and all) from both your spouse's parents (separately) stating that your spouse was born on so and so date and at home or for whatever reason no certificate is available.

Don't forget to get above stated affidavit where the parents of your spouse state in their own statements the date of birth and a reason. You will still need to send in the 10th certificate.

You do not need to include any dependents since you dont have any.

I got an email stating that my application is being returned as i missed out a form.
I have a few questions in mind.
1) Email was addressed to my spouse. The application package will be sent to my spouse (outside Canada) or to my address in Canada.
2) How long does it take for the application package to be received in such cases.
3) Can I resubmit the same forms (They said tin the email that they have made a note on the checklist). So can i reuse the same checklist or I need to take out a fresh print out of the checklist.

Unless you have put yourself as your spouses representative it will most likely be send to your spouse. seems like it is one of your spouse's forms that is missing. i would just use a fresh check list.

Since i never received an email (we put both mine and her's though), not sure if that's a normal process or not. The letter we got dated 7th march and i received in my mailbox by 20th. PS: I was the one who sent the application in, so am guessing the sponsor would get the returned material, so were you the sponsor or the applicant ?

I am printing new checklist and sending the new one. I am submitting same forms as such (the signature dates will be different now because in March 0008 got updated or modified so my spouse filled that again and signed again as of March date, others were dated for january) so, i do not think you need to do forms again, but you will need to include any additional forms required. I would like to hear back from you in terms of did they actually tell you what forms you missed or it will be the vague/fuzzy response we received ?

No need to re-pay either , i never received a refund so the original payment receipt page i am sending as such too, do not think they scrap your fees paid already just because it had to be returned for missing forms/papers etc. but would be nice to hear from others if they made the payment again after they received their package back for missing documents ?

Out of curiosity when did you submit your application how long did it take for them to go through it and generate the email ?

You must have to send your pics also.
Open this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5533E.pdf

and go to point 5 in page "5 of 6".

They do not need my photo I am not applying for my PR, i already am sending them my citizenship card it has pic on it and in their system. Are you currently applying for your PR as well if so makes sense for you to send your photo as well.

The sponsor is not an "accompanying family member". They are already Canadian (citizen or PR) and do not need to include the passport-style photos.

That was my reasoning too, thanks for reaffirming my doubts about sending my photos too.

Hi,
Just received the filed application back with 6. Country Specific Requirement highlighted.

Anyone can suggest what we missed. We figured its : Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562] , we did not have that submitted.

But we are so lost in terms of what to fill in 008 the "national identity" , my spouse (principal applicant) is in India so do we put "No" there or we put in the passport number there. She has Adhar card but adhar card cannot be put in the form because it has "no expiry date" and form wont validate if we leave expiry date empty.

I am Canadian citizen, however on the Supporting documents Part B we are not sure if I should be submitting my Birth certificate as well ? Family member means "dependent's/children" or would that include my spouse's parents/brothers/sister etc. ? Or just my spouses birth certificate will suffice ?

"Birth certificate or baptismal certificate of yourself and all your family members"

This application process is so frustrating at time, they do not provide clear explanation of what was missed, so anyone else gone through same phases ?
Hey!! I'm not sure if someone already told you this...but you have to send your Principle applicant's (wife?) birth certificate copy and if the birth was registered late then you have to send a copy of her voter id card too. And for the supplementary form...you (since ur her spouse) and your wife both fill in their last 10 year visits...And for the national identity. We filled my husband's adhaar card number. You don't have to validate the form. I didn't validate that form either. I got my sponsorship approval. Since you will be sending the photo copy of the adhaar card, they will know it doesn't have an expiry date. :)

And you are just supposed to send your and your wife's birth certificate. Unless you have children. Your parent's brother or sister's are not considered your family in the spousal sponsorship application. Good luck and don't stress out :)
