Hi Dears,
• Which time line is applicable upon me, 40 months of ISB office or 28 months of LVO?
• At the time of application transferred it was 27 months at ISB and increased 29, 30, 32, 39 and 40
• Then my file transferred at LVO on Feb 2014 ant time was 11 months, now is 28 months.
• So now which time is applicable upon me 40, 28, 11 ?

Normally once the file is assigned to an officer at LVO then it takes 8-12 months for straight-forward cases.

Hi,
Once your case is in process it takes 8-10 Months to finalize only if everything is straight forward.

My Wife's case was transferred to the London Visa office in June 2015. Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to change to In Process ?

Hi. My spouse with two kidz were flying to Canada on 20th of april from Lahore. She were refused boarding cause our children ( Canadian Citizens) didnt have NICOP cards. The FIA at the airport said that they need to have NICOP to travel. Even though she had nadra issued birth certificates but that was not enough.

I just dont understand why do you need to have nicop or a cnic to go out of Pakistan. This is suppose to be a prove that one would show when they are entering the country. I mean after all the heart wrecking experiences from cic, now this had to happen. Sad and disappointed.

Another thing to add, FIA also asked her to obtain a Pakistani visa on kidz foreign passport ( Canadian ) which will be another way they will be able to travel out of Pakistan. I still dont get it. Isnt visa suppose to permit you to enter the country. Why we are doing the other way around????? Also is it even legal to get an exit on a visa that has no entry stamp????

FIA also said to her that if she had even applied for the NICOP and can produce receipt of application upon travel they will let the kidz travel out. I mean a receipt would work but birth certificate (Original) issued from the same organization is not enough????

Wow, that is really pathetic policy!
My son was born in Islamabad to a Pakistani mother and a Canadian father.
He will be getting his passport next month when my wife's PR application is approved.
Now my son will be using his Canadian passport to travel to Canada with a NADRA birth certificate but can still be refused because he doesn't have a NICOP?
This is totally absurd! I sent an email to adg.immg@fia.gov.pk but the email returned back stating the user's mail is over quota. What a joke?

Either get a NICOP or get your son's CDN passport stamped with FIA, otherwise the immigration will not let your family board the airplane. It happened to one of my friends last year.

Leaving the country shouldn't be an issue without NICOP. Not sure why FIA giving hard time to Pak.
Just get it made, should be easier to get it made in Pak than going to Pak consulate which has non-flexible timings

But it will be required to travel to Pakistan and/or to avail services at Pakistani Consulate. Even getting a Pak passport, etc requires NICOP.
Best to get it made otherwise it is a pain to go to consulate and apply, etc and it is costly.
Much cheaper to get it made from Pak. Besides, with NICOP they don't need visa for Pak, they can travel with Cdn passport.
Birth Certificate does not authorize visa-free entry to Pak.

No not at the airport, but you have to contact your local Immigration FIA office.
