Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) Yes - separate from the 'Immigrant One Entry Visa'

5. What documents do I need with me when I first land in Canada?
When you first land in Canada, you will need your valid passport containing your unexpired Canada Immigration Visa and a document entitled Confirmation of Permanent Residence. Your accompanying dependents, if applicable, will need the same.

It is a good idea to also have evidence of your settlement funds and an inventory of all personal belongings in your possession and other items that you now own but intend to bring to Canada at a later date.

ok but when your spouse receive her passport back from the embassy does she not get the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR)? and everything that is required to enter Canada?

Yes. She should. I'm surprised that it appears that it was not given, or unfortunately misplaced

Wait your saying you got a passport request and during that the time you were waiting for your passport your Medical expired?

Did they not offer to extend the medical before the passport request?

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. Our decision was made on Dec 1, 2014, but we didnt get a passport request until Jan 9, 2015. Unfortunately my wife medical was expiring in Feb first week. So I was concerned about the validity of the visa. I contacted London stating if there is a possibility that they give my wife visa right away. They asked us to get a re-assessment done on our medical instead.
