I had a nikah, and no rukhsati and filed an application in October 2013. My file went to London in January 2014, and since then, its been silent. I requested my case notes, and based on them, the visa officer has not looked at our file yet.

I havent lived with my wife, although we are in regular contact on the phone or via skype(used to be daily calls, but now its every 2-3 days). I am the Canadian citizen and she isnt.

I have some questions, namely:

1) Are there any cases which were nikah only that went to London that were processed further, or were those rejected?
2) If I do go and get my rukhsati done, I will have to come back after a short period(2-3 weeks). Is that sufficient time together or do we need to live together longer?
3) If I do move to Pakistan for 5-6 months to spend some time with her, will it adversely affect my application?

Option 2 is the best.
Rukhsati will cover many questions of the visa officer , making ur case simple and fast.
Since ur file is in London, if u do rukhsati it will take total one year for the case.
Good luck.

We should hear from them if our file was transferred in June 2014 or February 2014?

Hi,
This means that they are still shifting the cases
from ISBD and the June 2014 transfer is the latest one..
Finally all the cases would be in london ; minimizing the leftover TRv and parent applications in ISBD to considerable and bearable timeline.
It also means that the cases moved to LVO
should have the LVO timeline i.e. 11 months as of now from the date the case arrives at LVO.

Hope for the best.
