SPOUSAL IMMIGRATION - File transferred to London Office from Islamabad

Hi Everyone,

Today is my first visit to this thread. Looks like people have good info. about London visa office.

My application got transferred to London from Islamabad after two years of "BS" time waste at Islamabad.

My second medical is expiring in May-2014 (next month). I was expecting PPR from Islamabad for Last 11 months.

Can someone tell me what London will do to my application. Are they going to extend my medical and send PPR?

I very much upset and frustrated due to CIC time waste game of moving files here and there .

I came to know from MP that file is in London and not sure exact date it got transferred.

Please advise what London will do now...........!!!!!!! :'(

all files are transfer to London, They are now working on your file , Its is a good news that ur file is in london. check your online status is it application received or is it changed to in process ?

Just got an email from LVO....they want the original nikkah nama with certified translation. ...I only sent the computerized marriage certificate that we got frm NADRA....my timeline is on the right.....for now thats all they want.

Please see below for the letter that we received from London office explaining step 1 and 2 of the PPR request:

Dear Applicant,

We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Please be advised that this file is now ready for visa issuance. Since you appear to be resident in Pakistan, and Pakistani law does not permit the mailing of Pakistani passports from Pakistan to other countries, we will not ask you to submit your passport to our office in London. Please refer to the attached document for full instructions.

Please note that you should expect to be contacted again regarding the second stage of this visa issuance process within the next 6 weeks. Kindly do not contact the London visa office nor Islamabad within this time period.

If you have any problems opening the attachment, please contact us by return email.

Dear Applicant,
Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Since Pakistani law does not permit the mailing of Pakistani passports from Pakistan to other countries, we will not ask you to submit your passport to our office in London. The issuance of your permanent resident visa will be a two step process.
Step 1: Follow the instructions in this letter to submit the requested items to our office in London. Once we have reviewed them, we will send you instructions for the second step within 6 weeks.
Step 2: Do not submit your passport to our Islamabad office until you receive instructions to do so. The Islamabad office cannot issue your visa before we instruct them to do so. (If you submit your passport early, it will be returned to you without a visa.) The Islamabad office can only mail passports to addresses in Pakistan. If you will want your passports returned to an address outside of Pakistan, then this letter does not apply to you. Inform us immediately so that we can send you different instructions.

We need your help...The PPR we received came frm ISB and guy called first told me abut the mail and thn aftr few minutes we got it...But there is no mention of Step 1 and Step 2 and asked us to provide PP, Pictures and other details..The subject was PHEP....Can u assist us as we dont know whther our file was ever transfered to London....status is still IN PROCESS..IS CHC ISL authorized to issue Visa or Visa come from LVO????

Guys , looks like London Visa office is doing great handling our cases I got remedical(3rd one) request today from LVO . Here is my timelines .

Applied Nov 2011
File Transfer to Islamabad- Jan 2012
First Medical Oct-2011
Second Medical June 2013
third Medical May 2014
File transfer to London -Feb 2014

Hope to hear good news soon . Atleast Western people have some sence not like people in Islamabad who does not do anything and made this mess . I am glad my case is not being process in Islamabad . Everyone will get good news soon i am pretty sure .

you have been waiting since nov 2001 that's 28 months, and you r not moaning about the delay .. i cant wait that long , i hope i get it soon in 14 to 15 months and all of us .

It appears that your visa office in ISL as opposed to LDN. Step 1 and 2 only apply to applicants whose visa office is LDN.

All visas are ultimately issued by ISL even if the file is transferred to LDN.

Follow the instructions that they have mentioned in the letter you recieved. I believe step 1 and step 2 will not apply to you.

Maybe some senior members can shed additional light on this issue?

My wife Submit my application on May 2013

Get Approval on July 2013

And Get letter that file is transfer to CHC- Islamabad

But from July 2013 to now i never received any e-mail or letter from CIC that file is still in Islamabad or in London?

I saw many people here their file transfer in Aug or sep they received letter or e-mail from London and their file in process.

Well fire your lawyer as this is his job to find out where is the location of your file.Anyways if you are in CA call CIC call center
or order GCMS notes.

ECAs Status changed : 18-dec-2013 decision made of sponsorship ,but email received on 24-jan-2014
