Ok so i received my gcms notes..

It says length time. 32 months

And file. P.A (Put away)

What does that mean!!

Is it the undertaking time? Or length time?
As for "Put away" that's means that they haven't assigned the file to an officer yet and it still need to be reviewed. So basically they haven't opened up your file yet! I hope that's helps.

Hello friends,

I got married in August 2013 but did not file my immigration right away.
I applied for Canadian study permit in March 2014 but my application was refused in May 2014 by CHC Islamabad.
Then, I started preparing my sponsorship documents and finally submitted my case in Aug 2014 to Mississauga.
My wife remained with me here in Pak after marriage i.e from Aug 2013 to May 2014.

Now Allah has blessed us with baby boy and he is Canadian citizen by birth. But unfortunately he is not in good health condition.
My wife was to come back to Pak with baby but now doctors have advised us that baby should not travel until the age of 6 months.

I want to visit my wife and child who is critically ill. for that i need to apply visit visa TRV. My question is;
I have already once denied study permit, is it safe for me to apply TRV in this situation while my sponsorship application is still in early stages?
And if I do apply for TRV and my application is refused what effect it has on my sponsorship application?

Please give me your suggestions.

That's the undertaking time. You are suppose to support your spouse for 36 months after they come there. If they go on social welfare you will have to pay that amount back to the government! So thy are your responsiblilty after landing for 36 months.

Any progress for anyone whose file was transferred to London in January ?

Well not yet mine was transfered in Jan it's sept 8 out of 11 months are gone, nothing as yet. Let's hope for the best Insh Allah

Its around the first couple of pages. You can open your notes file, do CTRL+F and search for the word assigned as that's much easier.

Dont be. People here are going to reach their 30 months mark... You have not even touched a year so far but still keep ur hope high to get this finished in a year... in sha Allah. Also if ur medical gets expire, you will get a re medical request too. So dont worry. You applied at a time when things are getting better. So chill out and relax

Yes many people who applied in second half of 2013 got their processing done in 6 to 8 months which happened when files were directly sent to london and a mass transfer of files did not occure.
