Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and looking for some advice. I applied for my husband's PR in May 2013, including medical when we filed. Our file was transferred from Islamabad to London in January 2014. I did inquiries in March 2014 and recently (June 2014) and it has been in the 'background check' stage since March. The medical has expired because it was done in May 2013 so I wanted to know will they request re-medical
after the background check is complete or have they accepted the medical we submitted in May 2013? Thank you for your help!

Hi Huda, to my knowledge CIC require a valid medical during the time of arrival in Canada, i saw a file where they issued the visa but specifically asked the candidate to land in Canada before his medical expires, so if your medical is expired, even if the medical is passed, i am sure they will ask for re-med so be prepared.

Zam

Hello Huda,
How are you?I want to ask that upon your inqury they respond you about your husband's PR case status, right? Is there any other changing in status when you check the online status of the application?
I will appreciate your reply. Thank you

As far as I know, no one from June 2013 has heard anything from London so far. Do tell us about your notes. InshAllah we will hear from them soon. Ameen

Hello Everyone, Ramadan Mubarak to all! My prayers and good wishes with you all.

It's now been more than 35 days since I submitted the request for notes on our application even though it is supposed to take no more than 30 days. Anyone with suggestions what my options are at this point? How can I follow up and who should I contact? Many thanks!

I got mine on 37th day, and it was worth the wait becoz my notes were generated the day I got them. So that was the latest information on my file.

Thank you for that information. It is much to my relief to know that all requests do get processed eventually.
