Spose Sponsorship after Sponsoring Parents

Hello all,
I hope someone can help me with the following situation.

BACKGROUND: I am Canadian, and my husband is Mexican. We met in 2019, and in March 2020 my husband was going to come to Canada and look for a job to stay in Canada with me. However, COVID-19 happened and borders closed, so he could not travel. After waiting for a couple of months, the borders did not open and I went to Mexico instead. In Mexico, we got married and I spent 2,5 years in Mexico with my husband. Now we want to apply for his PR through a sponsorship application.

My first question is: will it be a problem for a sponsorship application that I did not live in Canada for 2,5 years, although I work remotely for a Canadian company, have my house in Canada, and have been filing taxes all these years?

Also, another question: I sponsored my parent for a PR application and they received their PR in November 2020. Can I sponsor my husband now, even if 3 years have not passed since my parents` application was finalized?

I would appreciate your advice. Thank you!

My husband had been out of Canada for close to 7 years when he sponsored me and it wasn't a problem. You'll need to show intent to return to Canada (job applications, looking for housing (or in your case of you've been renting out the house or something making arrangements to end whatever has been happening with your house while you've been in Mexico), looking into transferring any credentials your spouse has etc etc etc) but otherwise shouldn't be a problem. It is really helpful too to show what ties you have maintained to Canada and it sounds like you do have some pretty significant ones.

Did you get married before your parents landed in Canada as PRs? Did you update IRCC that your family composition and size has changed? Had you advised IRCC that you had moved out of Canada while you were sponsoring your parents? PGP is for family reunification and you aren’t living in Canada. Where are your parents currently living? The 3 year rule if for a new spouse if you got remarried.

Hi! No, we got married after my parents became PR, and I did not advise IRCC of the family composition change. I did not advise them that I moved out of Canada either. My parents live in Canada now.
