Are you in Canada? Have you been approved for PR yet, and landed - or is the PR application still in process? Before we can advise you properly, we need more info. Thanks.

Thank you for reply.Yes Im in Canada with PR status.
My husband use me,and then kick me on the street with my son. With no money and no family here. I was in shelter plus working, but I done working becouse of him. Trying put my life together and fresh start.I need help and I dont know what to do!!!Separation agreement was signed at my work front of 2witneses,under stress, with no layer.Thank for any help!!!

You are PR so you can find another job, find a place to live etc. Start with finding a job, stay at the shelter and save enough money to secure an apartment for you and your son, then move to the apartment. Maybe it will be hard but you can do it. You can also ask at the shelter if there is a social assistance program to help you to get an apartment, help you with the rent to start with or anything like that. Since your husband sponsored you, if you take social assistance, he will be billed for it by the government.

Leinad,

I think leon is right 100%. I am sorry to hear people treating women this way! I am sure you are strong enought to overcome this minor setback for you and your great son.

Please be strong and don't let this difficulty lead you back to an abusive husband. In case you are scared of canada revoking your PR because of all this, I DONT THINK SO.

Please be sure to save and get your life back. i wish you and your son all the best.

Good luck

Thank you very much!!! I have to be strong!!! I was thinking to go back, but my son is in grade 5 this year and he can speak, read and write only english. So will be very difficult go back. Yes I will need a lot off luck,I have LONG and HARD way to go!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much once again.

If you landed in Canada one day over three years ago, your husband is freed from his obligation to support you or pay back any social assistance help that you receive. That might leave it on you. So take care on everything you do.

If he sponsored your son to come as well then he is responsible for him for 10 years or until he is 25, whichever is first. Any government support provided to him would be payable by the ex-husband.
