canceling sponsorship

She's not the original poster. Her situation is different... from her posts, her husband has cancelled his sponsorship of her and she would like to know how long it takes.

sorry about your abusive situation . It all been said already by the wonderful posters on here to add to that try as much as you can if posible not to go on walfare . Take it a day a time . Everything will be alright

I don't know how long it takes, but once a sponsor sends an email or fax to cancel sponsorship, it's just a matter before it's cancelled. I don't think they send a notification - the online status(on ecas) will eventually just show that the application is closed. Do you have your client ID or do you know the file number (starts with F)? If you do, you can check your application status online.

I needed to know how long it takes to cancel spousal sponsorship? how long it takes to get the email notification that the sponsorship has been cancelled?
