Hello all. I just applied on September 8 to bring my wife to Canada from Bogota. Although I know that times are different for everyone, but I would like to hear feedback from members about your timing on each step of the process. These are my steps so far.

Application received in Mississauga: September 8, 2016
AOR1 (in Mississauga)): October 6, 2016
SA (Sponsorship Approval): October 14, 2016
AOR2 (in VO Bogota Visa Office): October 20, 2016
Additional documents requested: November 1, 2016

We have sent today the background check they requested, using one of the companies they refered Us to "Omnitempus", also they requested 4 new pictures. anyone else here was asked to send these two things ? any feedback on when to expect news ? thanks a lot.

Hi Catherine, Yes finally!! I am beyond relieved that this is almost over. Its been 2 weeks though and I haven't received my passport back but maybe I figured since I'm in ecuador it might take longer than for you guys in Colombia.

Hi there, I was requested 4 pics back in February then my case dragged on until recently.. I was asked for additional docs first and later the pictures and 2 weeks after the pics I got PPR. At least that is how my case went. You are just starting but looks like your case is moving along great. Wish you luck-

Thanks Liiaa ! I'm confused, did you get asked for the 4 pictures back in February ? but got PPR 2 weeks after ? or they asked for more pics recently ? which other documents did they request ?

Today is the day. Just arrived at a friends place in Bogotá. We are getting ready and should be leaving in a few hours for the interview. My wife is nervous I'm nervous. Do they make the decision right there and then or we need to wait. We aren't nervous about the interview, more about what happens next. Excited anxious, scared, happy. Feeling so much right now.

Thanks JJ628 ! I have sent the background check and pictures and hopefully soon I get the PPR.

Hey everyone. Sorry I could post sooner. Interview went amazing. She was in there for about 3 hrs. They asked her the typical questions that everyone says is on the question list. They didn't ask anything about family immigrating to Canada. It was more about us our relationship, we we got married, where we will live in Canada. What will she do, stuff like that. They told her that the interview went great. That they are happy with ourelationship. They need to wait for a background check and the. They will be asking for her passport. We didthe whole check back in May so we aren't sure why it didn't arrive. We contacted G4S who says they sent it back on May so we are contacting the embassy and G4S about resending it

Hey everyone. My Interview went well. I was there for 32 hrs. At the end of the interview they told my everything is good and they told me that they know my married is genuine. Also they told me they will send me a email in 2 to 3 weeks from now. I nervous but they didn't keep my passport. Also another question guys for the ones who already went for a interview did they give you a form about your personal information ? They told me to asked my agent after the interview if I need to do it and he say yes
