Hey Catherine,

How many pictures do they usually ask for?
This is the second batch I will send, the last ones I sent were a week ago.

Just once because they change size. They just need two and after the others they send them back with your file and passport. Maybe it was something wrong with the pic you sent. It should be just that!

Have a look before to send it to ensure that the size of the face also is the right size.

;)

No worries. They wanted updated pictures and proof of relationship from us as well. Not sure why they wanted more proof since we sent in a huge binder full of pictures and letters of proof. But what I was told by my immigration lawyer was that some times they just like to pick a few files and try and make sure everything is still in good standing with the relationship.

This was all most a month ago that I sent those documents in and no word yet if they have them or if everything is ok.

Thanks for sharing that information, I'm planning to send them on Saturday so it arrives to the VO on Monday. Have you tried asking for GCMS notes? I think that they are very useful, just to see how the process is going. My husband asked for them before yesterday, he didn't want to wait for the end of the month.

No I have not asked for gcms notes. Not sure how to go about it really . I have a immigration lawyer I'm not sure if he has to do it or if I can.

Thanks jj for the info I so happy for you that everything is going well I list you know that they received your documents no like me that I don't know anything since I send it

It finally came! PPR! My husband got a call today from the embassy. Apparently, they were supposed to send our PPR a while ago with the last batch of requests but they never did. He has to land in Canada before August 23! Looks like we'll be there sooner than we thought. It took us exactly 12 months from application submission to landing in Canada. I wish you all the best of luck. Hang in there!

Thanks Humblee and don't worry, they say that not hearing from the VO means everything is going great. I'm sure our time is really near by.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since wrote on here. Didn't have much info to share. However things are taking place. I'm happy to see so many people's applications moving and prrs arriving. I'm happy for everyone and gives me encouragement.
So my application was receive may 30. July 26 got the AOR1 and the papers were sent to Bogotá.
Bogotá got them aug 3 and today we received and email stating they wanted receipt of payment of background check, 4 passport photos and copy of marriage certificate. So I will be gathering all that this weekend and sending that to them.

And I am currently living in Medellin with my wife because I cannot bare to be away from her.

Josh, GCMS are notes that you order online to see how your case is going.
It takes about 30 days to receive them by email or mail.
You can ask for them or your lawyer.
