i am looking for the information regarding sponsorship of my daughter who is born in saudi arabia. Me and my husband along with our two elder kids are permanent card holder already now want to go back to canada but not clear about how we can take her along with us to the canada. Kindly tell me the possible ways.

You have to get a visitor visa for your child from Canadian Embassy in Saudi Arabia If you are not from a visa exempted country for Canada.You need to sponsor the child as soon as you are in Canada. One entry will permit only six months on visitor status in Canada for your child and the sponsorship process will take approx one year to get the PR.

I'd like to add to that that if you apply for a visit visa (TRV) for your child, it may be refused because your intention is not for the child to go to Canada temporarily. In that case, it is possible that you can apply for another visa called temporary resident permit (TRP) which is a special visa given on humanitarian grounds. PR parents wanting to sponsor their children have sometimes been issued these visas in order to be able to take their children to Canada with them and sponsor them. If the TRP is also refused, the only option you would have left would be for one parent to go to Canada in order to sponsor the child while the other parent waits for the sponsorship to go through.

I hope you get either a TRV or a TRP because the applications from Saudi-Arabia go through UAE where it may take up to 26 months, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

However, if your childs citizenship is something other than Saudi-Arabian (say you are foreigners living and working there), you would have to look at the above link for the processing time in that country.

Thanks so far for ur kind suggestions. how can i apply for temporary permanent resident, can u pls send me links regarding this which will describe the ways of applying.
one more question if one of the parent goes to canada to apply for PR card of child, he has to stay there till child gets pr cad or he can come back after submitting the application.

If possible this option is better. One of the parent should be present in Canada to sponsor the child and remain till the child get PR.

You have to talk to the embassy about your options of applying for either TRV or TRP.

If one parent goes to Canada to sponsor, they must stay. A PR must be residing in Canada in order to sponsor their family. If immigration finds out that the PR parent has returned to their family outside Canada, they will refuse the application and you will have to repeat the process again.

one of you can go and apply it does not take too long because they give priorty on childern sponsership cases you check that on cic website.. just make sure you prepare complete file and send them day when you reach canada then it will be done within 20 days i know one family they did this
