My brother lives in Canada for 2 years as a PR. Before being PR he was divorced and had a child. He disclosed this info before coming to Canada. Now he wants to re-marry his ex-wife and sponsor them. Is it possible? Is there any complication?
Its possible he just has to prove the relationship is genuine.

How did he obtain his PR status?

Was the child declared in his PR application and medically examined?

He disclosed that he is divorced and he also signed an acknowledgement about the medical exam of his child. He did not provide the med exam of his child then. He did not misrepresent anything. He was very truthful about his situation when applied for PR. Next year he will be eligible for Canadian citizenship. So he is wondering if it is possible to re-marry her and sponsor them after being Canadian citizen.

It doesn't matter if he is a citizen or PR - the rules are still the same.

If the child did not complete a medical as part of his original PR application, that child can never be sponsored.

He would only qualify to sponsor his ex-wife if they remarry. If they do re-marry and he applies to sponsor his ex-wife, he should expect a great deal of scrutiny from IRCC and it's possible they may move to refused the application. It's a complicated situation.

From what i understand as long as they were both declared on the application it should be okay? I don't know if the medical bit is necessary? You brother should call and inquire directly about this, and if he was truthful in the first place this shouldn't be an issue. But yes they will probably ask for a lot of proof of relationship. Phone calls messages visits letters from family and friends to attest the relationship everything will be helpful .

As clearly explained by scylla, the child was required to undergo a medical in the original PR application. The child was not medically examined and is therefore excluded from the Family Class.

Nope - not how it works. It was mandatory for the child to complete the medical in order to be sponsored in the future. No medical = forever excluded as a member of family class.
