Hello Members

Im a Canadian citizen currently living in Montreal with my wife. I want to sponsor her as she is here studying as an international student.

So please Correct me if im wrong for the steps

I) I have to file a sposnorship application to CIC
2) wait for approval letter
3) use the approval letter to apply for quebec government.?

is that true?
When should my wife apply for CSQ? at which stage? and when should she take the medical test?

Regards

That would be stage 3 (according to the steps you mentioned above).

1. Application to CIC (Sponsorship + Permanent Residence (PR))
2. Approval letter (called SA or Sponsorship Approval)
3. With your SA in hand you apply for a CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate) - See MIDI website - Filing for a CSQ
4. Once approved by Quebec, CIC will review your wife's eligibility for a PR.
5. Cheers! Time to celebrate!
