Thanks Much soonihope , that was really helpful. I was looking at the website to order GCMS notes. In the requestor information should we be putting our name and DOB or our parents DOB. I am kind of confused here

It depends on if you are applying for the notes then you are the requesting party.if your parent is in Canada then they can request the notes.person who makes the request needs to be present inside canada.
Also if you request on behalf of your parents don't forget to upload a signed consent form.

hi all,
i am happy to report i just received an email that indicated sponsor approval. the case is now forwarded to Ottwa.
I am sponsoring my parents with my husband as a co-signer. Also our daughter was born by the end of last year, i reported this change to cic and it seems not be a problem at all.
I am very happy for the progress!

wow, Jan 5th people are getting approval now. But it seems like we haven't heard much from Jan 2nd 9:00 am - 12:00 am batch.

It's really good to see the amazing progress in 2015 applications. I had an emergency eye surgery (Trabeculectomy) a week back and hence couldn't update the SS before. Since I'm still recovering, I may not be able to update it as often as before. I would still ask you to fill out Add/Update Entry sheet whenever you hear a progress in your application and I will update the SS at my convenience.

I haven't received any update regarding my sponsorship application yet, but just noticed the permanent residency application status changed from received to in progress!

Anybody else in the same boat?

I got an email yesterday morning stating my sponsorship has been approved and the file has been transferred to Ottawa for the further approval.

I checked online status-just says we received your application.

Got an email saying my application can not be processed as it is missing my parents marriage certificate

I am sure i did send the document with the application . Anyways.. I am really surprised to see such a quick processing time... I hope the speed remains the same !!
