You got me thinking so I just re-checked and yes we mailed the application on the 5th and was delivered to CIC on the 6th.

If you dont mind please recheck year also. Was it 2014 or 2015 when you post the application

The only thing I can think is that the files are allocated to case processing officers, and some just get through theirs faster and move onto the next pile.... There's no reason why 2015 would be processed before 2014, we all submitted the same information. 2014 before 2011 kinda made sense, as 2014 provided more info... even then (and I'm 2014 and delighted that I've been processed) have to admit it's a little unfair...

Anywho... who knows... we can all just hope to get to the end, and quickly!

doesn't seem like it though. My mom is widowed. I'm the only child, single with no children. Simplest kind of case, but still no update so far.
anyway, as long as it's moving, it's good ;D i didn't expect 2015 application would be in process this year, so i'm happy with this nice surprise.

I just got an email from CIC asking for a copy of my parents married certificate. They gave me a month to send it in.
I only sponsor my mom as my dad preferred to stay behind and he only come here for a short visit once a year, I didn't realized that I have to submit the married certificate even though I only sponsor one parent.
I consider this a good indication that they are working on 2015 applications

Wow! It's amazing. 2015 batch is getting sponsorship approval now. Would be much helpful if people can indicate date and time applications were received so we have a rough idea about the processing order. This is cheerful though.
