See article in the Toronto Star today http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2015/02/06/immigration-program-for-parents-discriminatory-federal-court-of-appeal-rules.html. Hopefully this changes CIC's strategy to our benefit.
CIC should look into this. It's about time.

Just a question, I am prepared to re-submit my application in Jan 2016. Which courier company to you recommend? I know I would never go to Canada Post anymore. Which company, which service option, what strategy do you have? I wanted to make my package arrive the first thing in the morning when the CIC starts receiving files. I regreted about not doing enough research about courier companies before sending out my application. I didn't think it was going to be that bad given that my friend made it when her application arrived on Jan. 18th last year.

I am another one that messed up by Canada Post. It was supposed to be delivered by Jan 2nd but delayed to Jan 5th or later. The online status is still showing 'out for delivery'. I really doubt whether Canada post made it by Jan 5th as they claimed since there is no signature, nothing. In the early post, one guy said he got charged for Jan 6th. If that is correct, Canada Post was lying as there is no single charge from the Canada Post Jan 5th batch yet. The driver may fucked up more than they claimed. Anyway we can fight them? Hate Canada Post so much.

I was charged in Jan.30 and my application was delivered in Jan.5 morning by Canada Post. However I don't know the exact delivery time. Canada Post showed the status online "Jan.5 AM Successfully Delivered". I thought some applications (using Canada Post) were accepted ,which arrived before 10:00AM

Where did you send the package?

I only use FedEx for important deliveries. A bit more expensive, but way more reliable.

Toronto.

I believe some people didn't come to this forum to update. Some of early Jan.5 applications (Canada Post) were charged.

I sent my package through Canada post, delivered on jan 2nd and cc got charged jan 13th.

Did you send the package to the Speck address or the PO box? None of the packages that were sent to Speck for the Jan 5 delivery got the CC charged as far as I know.

BTW, Canada Post sucks. That's the conclusion I made based on my experience this time. They updated the online status in Jan.6 one day after the application was delivered. I called/argued with Canada Post three times for almost one hour in Jan.5. Then I got three different answers. It made me extremely angry and frustrated.

For 2016 applications, please do NOT use Canada Post.

PO Box. Follow the guideline.

My point is: those packages delivered to Speck with Canada Post (Xpresspost or Priority with signature required ) on Jan 5 did not get their CC charged yet. Some folks have sent with Xpresspost + signature required to the PO box and got their package delivered either on Jan 2 or Jan 5 (like yourself) and got their CC charged.
