My application for PGP reached on 8th January. Does anyone have any idea of current status? Will my application be able to make it or not?

Everything is just speculation at this point unless we hear from a confirmed source at CIC which is unlikely to happen.

Sit tight and relax. 2nd is still in processing queue.

They don't need a return envelope from you. They can use a designated courier to ship back any parcels with a note of reason attached such as the cap has been reached try again next year or Application incomplete.
Thank you for the update.

Thanks polaroffer & civic. Seems like my application is the last in the updated excel sheet for last 2-3 days so was wondering about application chances. Anyways, Good Luck to all of you and will keep my fingers crossed.

No worries. You're not the last one anymore.

AndreyU/Anastasia - how about you guys, did your cc get charged today???

oh yeah!
I just called CIC and begged the agent again and again.
He finally agreed to help me to check my application.
This is what I been told,
My application was received on Jan 2nd. The application has been checked.
He didn't see anything saying my app was returned.
So It could be good news!!!

The "Analysis" tab in the shared workbook could be useful. My application reached on Jan 06. I hope that I am prepared for worse. I wonder how CIC must have implemented an effective FCFS. For example, an "XYZ Courier company" guys with dollys of boxes loads of let's say 5000+ application can easily surpass other couriers. It would also be interesting to see how CIC manages the PO Box and signed deliveries.

One improvement that CIC can make is "Not return remaining applications" but consider them as priority for next year. But this has 2 drawbacks, it is unfair for next year's applicants. It is also possible that you had an application sitting with CIC for a year, but it had a mistake that you learn when it is too late to even re-apply.

Everything in this universe is numbers.

All the best

At this point, it doesn't matter. CIC Mississauga is not that busy to receive new applications. However, at this point, most likely you won't make it to the 5000 cap.
