Hi,

did you got the application back, how did you found the application incomplete ?

Very simple, when i came back after posting the document, I saw one of the signed application form on my dinner table :(
So I knew it was not posted, therefore incomplete.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone knows once file gets accepted what timeline we are looking at? Our parents application go into same pool of current 40,000-50,000 pending applications or since it's less quota and different criteria they are doing fast track? Any idea/thoughts/insight?

No - your applications won't be fast tracked. Your applications will be processed after CIC has finished with the older applications.

I'd expect you're looking at an absolute minimum of 3 years - quite possibly longer.

Seems like, both the following delivered time are incorrect:

Jan 2, 2015, 08:45 AM (Purolator)

Jan 2, 2015, 10:47 AM (UPS)

The latest applicant from the forum whose CC got charged has a delivery time of 11:31 AM on Jan 2, 2015. The next in line:
elena
amit
ak_indi

oh, my. Why didn't you send a second package?

Hi Rossei, Please add my name in the spreadsheet. My package was delivered by Purolator delivery at 8.45am still waiting for cc to be charged.

When Canadian Govt. Stopped taking application for Parent Sponsorship backlog was about 100k. They said for the next 2 years they are planning to take intake of 25k/year in order to reduce backlog. That gets us left with 50k remaining application (at starting of 2014). They said for next year i.e. 2014 they will process 20k application that left us with 30k backlog (at start of 2015) and govt. were added with 5k more application for 2014 (new criteria) and 5k for 2015 (new criteria). So total comes to 40k (30k previous + 10k new criteria). This is my calculation but I could be wrong here if yes please correct me.

Here are some estimates CIC posted just before the PGP program re-opened in 2014. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2013/2013-10-29a.asp

I think (but not certain) that 42K and 2.7 yr time, is the time needed to complete the backlog. So that would mean backlog could be done sometime in 2018, and only then would they really start processing the PGP apps submitted 2014 and later. As to time it takes to process PGP apps under new rules, is anyone's guess.

Both Purolator and UPS posted wrong delivery time in the notification, I think.

I am kind of certain its wrong deliver time as well. Hopefully its for the best for all of us.

Seemed Purolator has followed suit and quickly became the second worst courier service for time sensitive documents.

As of July 2, 2014, there were 72K (persons) still in queue for Permanent residence. Assuming 12K gets approved in 2014, we are left with 60K which will take another 3 years.

To summarize 2015 applications will be finalized in 2018. This is my prediction.

It is wield no any transaction reported today.
Tomorrow is another day.
If we don't get it by end of tomorrow, I think CIC is in trouble.
(My guess is, CIC wasn't expecting so many packages in the first day.
They didn't put them in order for the first day applications.
Now they just found that there are two many from UPS and purolator.
The worst scenario is they received more than 5000 in the first day.
Now they don't know how to assign left quota to UPS or Purolator because all intakes will exceed the limit?
This is just my imagination :-[ :-[)
