Sponsoring Parents in 2015

Hello Everyone.

Is there anyone still waiting for sponsorship approval.. ? I have not seen any communication on my file after AOR. Not sure what else I can do other than just waiting. I also applied for GSM notes but have not heard any reply on that. Any suggestions ?

Do they officially allow this? I remember seeing something like this somewhere but not sure about the procedure. If Visa is finalized by visa offices can we request the stamping be done in Ottawa because parents stay here? Do we need to request or visa offices will do it automatically? It's still a long way to go but I just want to make sure this is possible because sending passport back and forth from Canada is risky

Yes this is allowed officially.
Someone in the 2011 forum has posted their letter for passport request. You can read that letter. It is on page 78 of the 2011 thread.

Hi,
I just received emails from Singapore office this morning for my mom's and my dad's medical. In my case, I only sponsor my mom, my dad is not accompanying her to Canada.

I am just curious why do they ask for my dad medical?

I am just curious why do they ask for my dad medical?

Spouses accompanying or not must also complete medical exams.

Update

Got an email from Manila (Philippines) about medical request for my family (3)
Unfortunately the email was sent thru my father email address which we wasn't able to check it the moment we got the request for RPRF, police clearance,schedule a, additional family info. The letter dated for medical request is July 6,2016. Same date I received my request for RPRF (etc)...
My parents are currently here for vacation. They will fly back soon to process the medical and other form.

I was overwhelmed with the request I received but on the other hand I thank god for the continue guidance of my application.

I want to check the status of my parents sponsorship file with trying access to information. They have not heard back from Ankara office and I am not sure if the have used correct email/mailing address. Any thought? did anyone try it previously?

If you think you cannot send your documents within 60 day deadline...How should I inform them. I need to send these to Delhi .

I got a medial request a month ago not they have send another request for my brothers medical condition. I'm not sure if this was part of first 30 day deadline for medical test.

I just called CIC and they mentioned to me that no additional documents from my side but they are doing internal investigation with CRA to make sure we have not received any social assistance. Unfortunately these can take lot of time for CRA to respond.

I am not sure if my other friends in this group are waiting sponsorship notification, there case may be stuck in one of those internal investigation.

Hi, can you send me here the contact number of cic because I did not hear anything from them yet and checked ecas still says APPLICATION RECEIVED. My mom's application was received January 5, 2015. NO updates yet and read some messages that some already got the results..

Hi, we"re on the same page. I haven't heard anything from them yet and in my ecas it says Application Received. They received my application January 5, 2015.

I just received another email from Singapore asking for my mom and dad's Police Certificate, IMM5669 (Schedule A) and asking for sponsor (myself) to pay for RPRF (Right of Permanent Resident Fee). Everything must be done within 30 days - letter dated July 11, 2016 and I must send all document in ONE ENVELOPE to Singapore.
