Sponsoring Parents in 2015

I received sponsorship approval email on May 13 but the status online is still showing received!

So I checked my e-cas today and it's now showing In process for the permanent resident application but only Received for the sponsor application. But the thing is that I applied from Québec and I definitely need to submit an application for Quebec and get their approval before applying for permanent residency and that it why I'm perplexed and don't see how that is even possible knowing that I didn't receive any sponsorship approval or submitted anything for Québec. Anyone else is in the same boat?

I'm from Quebec, and I received sponsorship approval from Mississauga mentioning that if I reside in QC I need to apply to CSQ. So I think technically it's not sponsorship approval but rather sponsorship preapproval. My e-cas is still showing "Application Received" for both.

Just curious when did you submit the sponsorship application and when did they send you the preapproval letter? Did you apply for CSQ yet?

Sponsorship application received on January 2nd 2015, approval letter received May 16th 2016, documents for CSQ received by MICC May 24th 2016, credit card charged by MICC May 30th 2016

When was your CC charged initially by CPC-M? You forgot to mention that in the SS. FYI, the TIMELINE sheet is sorted based on that date.

we have also got same request but in my case have only parents

is my mom considered as dependent then do we have to submit below requested documents? My Mon is 60 yers now and its not possible to get 5th, 8th, 10th and 12 th marksheet and certificate.
Please suggest what to do? anyone have same situation? or below requested documents only for dependent except spouse

o Original birth certificates issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths along with a translated copy.

o Copy of all pages of your dependant’s current and previous (if applicable) passport(s).

Application approved and send to New Delhi
Received regular mail dated on 13th May (Not sure why? as first AOR, i have received through email)

Ecas status is "Application received for both"

Done. But you should be able to update the SS by selecting your username in any row from 7 to 20 on "Add/Update Entry" sheet.

BTW, where was the mail sent to? Your Indian address or Canadian one?

Judging by your mail, I think that your mom doesn't have to produce "educational certificates/marksheets". It only applies to 'dependents' (i.e. your siblings) as CIC wants to make sure that they are authentic students. But your parents may need to submit birth cert, marriage cert, national id, passport copies etc.

There are few like you in this forum (also in the SS) who have similar requests from New Delhi. SKK18 is one of them. Don't take my word granted.

BTW, you should enrol into our Google SS.

Guys...just wondering if this is normal...i have not received the SA and my ECAS shows Application Received but PR application of my mom is already in process and she got her medical request last May 31, 2016.

Appreciate if you guys can response.
