Sponsoring my Wife and daughter

Hi There,
I am sponsoring my wife and my daughter who are living in India. I have certain questions:

1. Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form should be completed by principal applicant and all the dependents if there are more than 5 family members. But in my case there are only 2 family members (wife and daughter). Should they not complete and send this form?
2. My wife was a divorcee and she had a child from the previous marriage who is living with her ex-husband. My question is that in “Generic Application Form” there is a column of Detail of Dependents, should we not fill the details of that child because we don’t want to bring that child to Canada? My wife has a divorce certificate, in the petition of this certificate it is mentioned that this child is living with his father.
3. The “Additional Family Information” should be completed by principal applicant and their spouse as their own copies. My wife is principal applicant and I am her spouse. Should I also complete that form as my own copy (I am a sponsor and living in Canada)?
Please reply with the appropriate answers.
Thanks

Hi

1. IMM0008DEP is not required.

2. The child MUST be included in the application and must undergo a medical even though he will be non-accompanying.

3. The sponsor does not fill out that form.

Thanks canuck_in_uk...But that child is living with the ex husband..and that husband will never allow that child to undergo a medical..the child even does not have a passport...because their divorce ended with very much harassment...my wife and her ex husband even dont want to see each other...so that is impossible to have medical and passport information of that child...

Understand that by not including the child, he will forever be excluded from the Family Class. Your wife would never be able to bring him to Canada.

If there is a formal custody agreement issued by the courts showing that the father has sole custody, include a copy. Ask the father for the child to have the medical and try to document the refusal. Your wife will need to write a letter explaining that she understands that her child will be forever excluded from the Family Class and have it notarized.

CIC does not like excluding dependent children and you can expect the app to be delayed because of this.

May 2012 land
July 2012 left canada
In order to sponsor your child, you must meet the Residency Obligation, which means that you must enter Canada by July. You can then immediately submit the sponsorship app.

You can apply for a TRV but the chances of it being approved are low. If it's refused, you could then apply for a TRP, Temporary Resident Permit; many PRs have successfully applied for TRPs for their foreign-born children.

Apply for the TRV first. If it's refused, apply for the TRP.
